In your own words, explain your personal opinion on capital punishment. Is it right or wrong? Find an article that supports your claim and cite that article in your opinion to support your stance.
Remember that all discussions are 250 words. They require a total word count at the end of the discussion post. You must cite all work that is not your written/knowledge work.

* summary of chapter 1:
Forces are pushes or pulls. They are vector quantities, so they are described by a size and a direction of action. Arrows are used to represent forces graphically. Internal forces hold things together and cannot cause changes in the motion of a system. External forces may cause changes in the motion of the system. The most commonly felt external forces are gravity and contact forces. Friction and the normal reaction force are the two components of a contact force. Forces are added with the use of vector addition. We can accomplish this using graphical techniques, or using algebra if the forces are resolved into horizontal and vertical components. If the net external force acting on an object is zero, the object is standing still or moving in a straight line at constant velocity. If the object is standing still, it is in a state of static equilibrium, and the external forces acting on it are balanced and sum to a net force of zero. If the external forces acting on an object do not balance (i.e., they do not sum to zero), the object is not in equilibrium and will change its state of motion. In the next chapter, you will learn about motion and how it is described. Then you will be able to analyze objects that are not in equilibrium.
*summary of chapter 2:
Motion may be classified as linear, angular, or a combination of the two (general motion). Most examples of human movement are general motion, but separating the linear and angular components of a motion makes it easier to analyze. Linear displacement is the straight-line distance from starting point to finish, whereas linear distance traveled represents the length of the path followed from start to finish. Velocity is the rate of change of displacement, whereas speed is the rate of change of distance. Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity. Displacement, velocity, and acceleration are vector quantities and are described by size and direction.
The vertical and horizontal motion of a projectile can be described by a set of simple equations if the only force acting on the projectile is the force of gravity. The horizontal velocity of a projectile is constant, and its vertical velocity is constantly changing at the rate of 9.81 m/s2. The path of a projectile and its velocity are set once the projectile is released or is no longer in contact with the ground.
We now have the terms to describe many aspects of the linear motion of an object: distance traveled, displacement, speed, velocity, and acceleration. But what causes linear motion of objects? How do we affect our motion and the motion of things around us? We have found some hints in this and the previous chapter. In the next chapter, we will explore the causes of linear motion more thoroughly.
*summary of chapter 3:
he basics of linear kinetics, explaining the causes of linear motion, lie in Newton’s laws of motion. Newton’s first law explains that objects do not start moving or do not change their motion unless a net external force acts on them. An extension of the first law is the conservation of momentum principle. Newton’s second law explains what happens if a net external force does act on an object. The object will accelerate in the direction of the net external force, and its acceleration will be inversely related to its mass. The impulse–momentum relationship presents Newton’s second law in a way that is more applicable to sports and human movement. The basis for the techniques used in many sport skills is in the impulse–momentum relationship. Increasing the duration of force application increases the change in momentum. Newton’s third law explains that forces act in pairs. For every force acting on an object, there is another equal force acting in the opposite direction on another object. Finally, Newton’s law of universal gravitation gives us the basis for the force of gravity.

In a formal 400-500 word essay
Your essay should include an introductory paragraph and a conclusion.
Follow
APA format for structure. An APA template is attached here. Support
your essay with 2 to 3 credible references beyond the course materials.
Please note Wikipedia, Investopedia and similar websites are not
credible academic references.
“The Ako Incident” Samurai in Literature & History
“The Ako Incident”.
The actual topic(s) and format of the essay is your choice. I can recommend focusing on themes of “loyalty” and discussing “bushido” for some rich subject matter. It doesn’t have to be argumentative, but it can be if that’s easier.
Only 2 sources MUST be used, “The Ako Incident” being one. I will provide more, all of which will contain relevant material that could be useful for filling out the length of this paper. You can use outside sources if you like.
Please meet the word count and include a bibliography if possible. (The file names of the sources provided begin with the last name of the author of those texts.)
Movie Character Leadership Analysis
The
leadership paper should be no longer than 7 pages, double-spaced, APA
7th edition format. The paper is based on the following:
You are to select and view ONE of the below movies:
1. Schmidt, A. (Producer), Wallace, R. (Director). (2002). We Were Soldiers [Motion Picture]. United States: Paramount.
Paper Content
A. After viewing the movie or TV show, select one of the supervisors (leaders).
B.
Discuss THREE supervisory techniques that they used, using specific
examples from the movie or TV episode. Do not spend too much effort
explaining the background or details of the scenario, just get to the
point.
C. Make sure to discuss the following topics:
i. Which of the supervisory techniques were effective? Why?
ii. Which supervisory techniques were not effective? Why?
iii. Pick one scene and discuss what you would have done differently as a supervisor and why.
iv.
How does a high-stress environment like war or the emergency room affect
supervisory techniques, as compared to peacetime (or a less stressful
environment)?
v. What supervisory trait do you most relate to and why? You should include a personal account from your life.
vi.
Why do supervisors fail if they are using a “textbook” technique?
Explain using the scenes from the movie/show or your own personal life
to enhance your explanation.
If you have already seen the movie or TV show episode, you may “skim” it to refresh yourself.
You
should have a title page, some pages of body content, and the last page
should be your paper’s references. If you have a title page and
reference page that leaves you with 5 pages for body.
Use at least 3 references for your paper. They should be articles that support your paper.
Your
paper should contain no more than 20% direct citations or quotations.
That means 80% should be your own analysis, thoughts, and ideas.
Discussion post mental health nursing & two responses
In this discussion, you’ll describe a patient with a mood disorder and the appropriate nursing interventions. Please answer the following questions in your initial posting:
Describe a client from your clinical setting or previous experience who experienced depression or mania. Include a brief history and 3-5 most pertinent medications.
Identify one problem that was not resolved with the treatment regimen. What are the reasons it may not have been successful? Include nursing as well as other team members.
Identify one effective nursing intervention and why you feel it worked.
Overall, do you feel this client was kept safe? Why or why not?
Please provide supporting evidence for your answers.
Respond to at least two other classmates and explain if you agree or disagree with how they would handle a client who was having those symptoms. If you do not agree, please provide how they could have approached the client differently.
If you refer to any outside sources or reference materials, be sure to provide proper attribution and/or citation.
The Singer Solution to World Poverty,” originally published in Time Magazine in 1999
In commemoration of Professor Peter Singer’s extremely controversial article “The Singer Solution to World Poverty,” originally published in Time Magazinein 1999, the magazine has invited you, as an up-and-coming expert in the field, to update their readers on the issue of world poverty. Construct an original argument about the solving or reducing world poverty while analyzing and providing a close reading of the Singer and Hardin (“Lifeboat Ethics”) essays. How dire is the situation? Can world poverty be solved or stymied? Focus on either Singer or Garrett Hardin (and his controversial article) to analyze. In your counter-argument, analyze the other. For instance, if your essay focuses on Singer, the counter-argument would address Hardin. Your argument essay must make and support a claim that addresses world poverty, not simply something like, “Peter Singer is right, and his logic is valid.” We want to hear your unique solution and perspective, perhaps resolving the differences and modifying the claims made by Singer and Hardin into a sensible charitable philosophy that is suitable for all.
