the great gatsby research paper

Research papers will have a body of four to six (4-6) pages. The paper must also have an outline, and Works Cited page. (These pages are NOT considered as part of the body page count.) You will find a sample research paper, including a sample Works Cited page at the Purdue OWL website. Their website also offers information about outlining; be sure to view the three subsections regarding outlining. The order of pages in the paper is the outline, the body of the paper, then the works cited page. These are all to be saved and sent to me as one document.
The final Works Cited page will contain four to six (4-6) sources. Three must be secondary sources from academic sources; one will be the primary source, which is your novel. The secondary sources will be derived from appropriate books, academic journals, periodicals, and so forth, to denote a variety of sources used; you are expected to begin your research with the CTC library’s online databases. Each of the sources used in the Works Cited must be used at least once in the research paper.
Course Hero, LitCharts, Cliffs Notes, SparkNotes, Cram.com, Pink Monkey, Magill’s Surveys, Barron Notes, Schmoop, Masterplots, Monarch Notes, eNotes, Gradesaver, Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Prezis, essays from paper mills, Wikipedia, and all other similar sources are NOT appropriate.
You are to follow the MLA 9th edition format and documentation as described at the Purdue OWL site.
Use direct quotations sparingly (quoted material should be no more than 25% of the paper).
Be sure the topic is sufficiently limited.
All words should be spelled correctly and errors in sentence structure eliminated.
The level of diction should be formal (no slang, contractions, jargon, or technical terms without definition).
The paper should be well written and scholarly.
All borrowed information must be noted whether quoted or paraphrased.

STRATEGY STORY

Find an article on a current event that you believe is an example of an organization’s strategy. Choose an article on a subject for which you have a deep, abiding interest. A driving passion for the subject matter and context is crucial for actionable strategic thinking.

The source of the article must be from one of the following sources: Los Angeles Times (business section), New York Times (business section), Wall Street Journal, The London Times (business section), The Economist, or Fortune magazine. The article must be at least 500 words in length. For this exercise, “current event” is defined as “since you have been enrolled in college.”
Do not select an article that is an assigned reading for class, such as an article listed in the “Library Materials”. Also, if you study with a teammate, each person should choose a different article on a different company.Find an article on a current event that you believe is an example of an organization’s strategy.
