Read “The Family Writing Project” which describes an urban community writing initiative
that was studied by Las Vegas writing project leaders. They defined a “third space” that
identifies how families interact through writing. They also describe how relationships
between teachers and families was fostered and how teachers developed professionally
through the experience.
