Give a scintific definition of eating disorder, then introduce the topic of eating disorders at an early age, sive statistics and how the ED issue is increasing among youth.

Place everything into the theoretical frame, It may be worth explaining this theoretical basis for the programmes too (and you could critique it later). Bring relevant examples of prevention programms as provided by attached literature. Have been they useful? What could be improved? Are there any programmes more succesful than other and why? The analysis of different studies can provide us with data able to respond to how effective school-eating programs are.

B – Obstacles and critics: what are the obstacles? E.g. costs, accessibility, family environment etc. The role of the home environment can not be ignored: for a child who suffers from an eating disorder in an uncomfortable home environment, the benefits of a school program could be jeopardized. Look and mention the recent work by Jessica Schleider who has developed digital single session eating disorder prevention programmes. Critics: are prevention programs always succesful? Can they be harmful in some circumstances? Discuss using the provided papers.

C- Body image: introduce the concept of body image and its close connection to eating diorder development. Now body image is part of the national curriculum of UK schools and other countries, nut are the teachers properly trained? Are there enough fundings to support the programs and the prevention? Is there anything that can be done to implement the programs and make it easier for schools to embrace them? How can school compensate for the dysfunctional household of a child with an eating disorder? discuss.
