Your company manufactures window blinds. You are contacted by a TV reporter for comment on a report that a baby was injured in one of your window blinds. The phone rings again and another reporter wants a comment from you. Then yet another phone call. You immediately set out on a fact-finding mission.
A baby became tangled in the cords of the window blind and was almost strangled. By now, the company executives, plant officials, design teams, engineers, sales managers and corporate attorneys have been informed of the situation. The baby is in critical condition at the hospital. The doctors inform you that the mother put the baby down for a nap and at some point the baby stood up in her crib, fell into the cords and became tangled.
You learn that 3,000 window blinds with these specific cords were purchased nationwide. They were a custom-made item and you learn the locations where they were sold. You learn that a cord safety label was printed on the bottom of each window blind, which met governmental standards. You learn that the cords can be braided and shortened to prevent them from being a hazard.
Given this information, how do you respond to the media, if at all? Be sure to include some concepts, ideas and terms from the module readings to state your case in how to respond. Provide your response in a short-essay format.

Prepare a 15- to 20-slide presentation. Make sure your presentation includes audio or full video (see example listed below). The presentation should be between 8 to 10 minutes long.

This windshield survey is a tool used by public health nurses to obtain basic knowledge about a given community. This survey can be conducted by traveling by car, walking, or taking public transportation to gather information on the health of a community and the members of that community. When conducting this survey, make sure to include all community participants, schools, police, fire, hospitals, clinics, etc. Also, please make sure to share your completed presentation with an identified entity in the surveyed community who might be interested in your findings.

Your goal for the assignment is to develop a case study about an adolescent client who has been diagnosed with conduct disorder and has a history of involvement with the juvenile justice system (i.e., has broken the law by stealing a car, etc.). In the case study, you will examine different aspects of socioemotional development that contribute to adolescents’ problems.
