You are assigned some risk management activities in the nursing facility where you work. Unit 2 Lab: Linux Installations

Purpose
This week you are going to learn about managing packages in a Linux environment. This is updating your system, installing different applications and overall keeping your system up-to-date.
Lab Using the techniques discussed in the Readings, you are going to complete the lab in Linux Academy called “Installing and Managing Packages on Debian/Ubuntu Systems.”
You are going to have 2 hours to complete the lab. Please download the lab guide for the usernames and passwords needed for this lab. You are going to ssh using PuTTy to the server outlined in the lab guide. You are going to run the command echo your name `date`. Note the ` symbol is next to the number 1 on your keyboard. You are going to take screen captures of the aforementioned information, along with installing the Apache Web Server Package, and verifying the server is running and capturing the result. Finally, you are going to write a paragraph on what you have learned in this lab and any items you still need explained.
Lab Requirements
You are going to take screen shots of the lab and paste them inside a Microsoft Word document. The Linux Academy site has the logon credentials for the site. Multiple screen captures are okay.

that would sufficiently demonstrate independent thought. The good news
is this: If I am right, and you simply ran out of time, then you can
improve on this a lot and you know this. You also have the summary of
what you ought to do in your one paragraph where you present some
reasons why you think property dualism is better. You simply need to
develop these reasons and explain them to the reader.

first determine where the coding sequence is. (HINT: if you scroll down on the page, you’ll come to “CDS”. Click on it and it will highlight the entire coding sequence of Dsg3. This is the sequence you want to copy through PCR).
Once you see where the coding sequence is, design your forward and reverse primers. For your primers,
Both primers should be 18-24 bases long (ours in lab are usually 20-21).
The forward primer should include or be before the start codon (the “ATG” that starts at 85), and will be the same sequence as the mRNA sequence shown for Dsg3.
The reverse primer should include or be located after the stop codon. For Dsg3, the stop codon is “TGA”. Note that the reverse primer sequence needs to be the reverse and complement of the sequence shown in this entry.
ARGUMENT PAPER ESSAY
Do NOT use any sources in this paper, since it is YOUR argument (Safe Assign will show me if you use other materials). In case you look up some facts and statistics you may need for your argument, keep those to a minimum, but make sure you specify where you got that information.
You have many tools at your disposal now: you can use the Critical Thinking pie chart to generate ideas; you can think of premises and conclusions based on Aristotelian argumentation; you should use partly logic (logos), partly ethos (appeal to morality and creating trust), and pathos (appeal to emotions). You can think of a Toulminian structure (claim, grounds, warrants), and you have to use Rogerian elements (think of the opposite side as something you need to keep in mind, not to completely destroy in your argument). You need to show that you have learned enough about these concepts to create a persuasive argument. I am not interested in what side you are on, but on how you justify or back your position.
Identify the controversy and the problems that arise in relation to the issue. Give a definition of your own to the concepts you are using, to lead the reader better toward an understanding of what the issue or problem is (best in the first body paragraph). You should use a combination of personal experience and your own reasoning to write this paper. You will then proceed to explaining what problems you see as part of the issue you have picked, and find: what you think are the causes and effects of the issue you picked; examples; solutions that do not work, and solutions that you think will work.
You will also think of at least one strong point that the opposition makes, and argue against it. This should constitute at least one full paragraph in your paper.
1. Introduction: presents what problem(s) you will discuss in relation to the topic you chose, narrows down the general topic to a specific area of interest to you, and very briefly announces the reasons you will give to take a particular side: causes, consequences, solution(s) (whichever applies), or whatever else you want to point out in your essay. Remember that sometimes it is best to write the final version of the introduction after you have completed the paper. You can start with a hook by presenting a disturbing example, briefly, then write your thesis statement.
2. Body paragraphs: the first one, ideally, will give some extensive definition(s) of what happens in the world or in your immediate vicinity in relation to that issue. Then, in no particular order, you will: discuss how it happens, why it happens, to whom it happens, what are its consequences, give examples, what are some solutions that do not work, and solutions that work, according to you (or that will work in the future). 3-4 paragraphs should be in support of your point of view, but at least in one additional paragraph you will also bring up what opponents of your position would say, and respond to them to show the weaknesses of their argument. Do not count your body paragraphs, but make sure you have enough reasons and examples developed into paragraphs. Your strongest point should be presented last, before the conclusion.
1. Conclusion: it shows what will happen in the future in your opinion; or, it draws some generalizations; or it summarizes what you have talked about and explains the overall importance of your essay or of addressing the issue the way you suggested; etc.
