Please read chapter on social structure, groups, social interaction, communities, organizations, societies, and related PowerPoint Presentation on Course Homepage to address the following: What is meant by the term “social structure”? Describe the social structure of individuals, groups, and societies. What types of groups are there? Why are groups so important to people? Some people would do anything in the context of a group or to belong to a group, including submit to mortification exercises. What are they? What has been the most important group thus far in your life?

On page 149, Murray asserts that, in our post-truth “Culture of Confusion,” preferences take precedence over facts and truth. He goes on to state: “If conservatives or Christians mistreat people with gender dysphoria to prop up their sense of self-righteousness, progressives mistreat them to advance their agenda of autonomy.” Do you agree with his statement? Why or why not?
