In Hossein’s Kite Runner (novel) , Hassan’s fate is obvious. Why? What has he done—what reasons are revealed—that inevitably result in the way society views him?

In Hossein’s Kite Runner (novel) , Hassan’s fate is obvious. Why? What has he done—what reasons are revealed—that inevitably result in the way society views him? One might argue that he has violated several of the social standards that define a rigidly prescribed sense of “manhood.” If so, what are they, and why do they result in the cruelty this character experiences? How does Amir’s guilt speak to his own betrayal of the masculine code? What role do fathers play? And why does the role of father—in this novel and beyond—seem to be so complicated? How does Emerson’s position on non-conformity speak to what happens in this novel? Is this Emersonian concept, one which was intended to be empowering, actually impossible to attain—at least without punishment?
Additionally, looking at the idea of masculinity, what is the true definition? Is it inevitably toxic? Looking at the two articles by Williams, do movements like #MeToo and Time’s Up signal a shift in the global power structure that has historically been centered on male supremacy? Are “being a man” and outwardly demonstrating “masculinity” concepts that inevitably endanger women? How does Newsom’s documentary speak to the need for change? What does Newsome reveal about how difficult the call to “Be a man!” actually is? Add Fight Club to this argument: What does maleness have to do with fighting? And why must men, according to the film, fight? In that same regard, how does the Emersonian notion of being “whole” play into this? How do those interviewed in Newsom’s documentary speak to the issues that Fight Club (film) and Emerson bring to light? Blend into the argument the pain expressed from the males seeking answers in Claudine (film). Why is their struggle the same as the other films and essays—yet distinctly different?
How do all the examinations we’ve examined around “being man” speak to the world we live in today? Has anything changed? Are things better? Worse? Is the idea of “man” changing? Or is everyone just afraid of being “cancelled” and, as such, the history that has formed maleness and manhood will continue as it always has?
Make sure to include:
Throughout your essay’s argument, look at how the female characters are portrayed in the films, articles, and the novel. What roles do they perform in how males view manhood? Do they aid them or distract? Are they friend or foe? Consider the herd mentality/deindividuation and intersectionality: how do these sociological lenses alter the way we conceptualize the social call to “Be a man”?
Throughout your essay, determine what commentary the books and films make on manhood, and in what ways do these artistic interpretations define, alter, or shape the lives of the characters who are portrayed as irrevocably damaged.
Paper should weave source discussions that we have uncovered while researching these texts and films, including any laws, cultural considerations, statistics, and sociological/psychological/philosophical principles discussed.
Throughout the work, feel free to introduce any films or literature we have examined this semester that will support your argument.
Secondary sources—sources assigned/viewed this summer but not listed above—are required (at least six).
Paper must have quotes documented and cited throughout that support the writer’s argument.
Do not forget that the paper must conform to MLA’s or APA’s documentation style.
This paper cannot be less than seven FULL pages or more than ten (this does not include a title page or Works Cited/References page).
NOTE:
The design and development, the order and weight of the argument, is up to you, the literary critic. Keep in mind that everything listed above must be included, but the development and presentation of the material is the writer’s choice.
As writer, decide what the main focus will be for your paper. If, for example, Emerson or Fight Club or Claudine or toxic masculinity or religion or language is what you feel should be primary, just shift the perspective. Ultimately, everything must be addressed, but you decide what the essay will concentrate on—what the thesis will use as its primary source.
Do not attempt to simply answer the questions. The paper must introduce, defend, and conclude. There are a lot of questions above, but they will not and should not receive the same weight for our paper development. Our papers must develop an essay that has an introduction, a controlling thesis, defending body paragraphs with transition, and a conclusion.

Project Management Planning

Because many aspects of health care
operations are changing, health care administrators oversee a wide variety of
projects. These can include logistical projects such as moving a department to
a new facility, technology-related projects such as introducing a new system or
piece of equipment, or process-related projects such as initiating new
procedures for patient discharge. If the project has any degree of complexity,
it will benefit from a project management approach. Administrators and managers
in health care need to have a working understanding of project management: why
it is important, what it accomplishes, and the repercussions on the
organization if its basic tenets are ignored or not followed. Within project
management, the project plan is the cornerstone of successful execution of a
project. The project plan is designed to guide the process and execution of a
project.
You will develop a project plan, using
as your focus a work-related project you are doing now or will be doing in the
future.

Part
1: Service Level Agreement
It is suggested that the project you
select be manageable in scope and not overly complex. You will assume that the
objectives and scope of the project you have selected have been vetted and
approved. The next step is to develop a project plan. You will develop a
project management plan that will walk through key steps of the project
management process. The objective of this Assignment is not a deep dive into
the full intricacies of project management. Rather, it is to ensure that as a
health care administrator, you have a solid theory and practical knowledge of
key aspects of the project management process.

For Part 1 of this Assignment, you will create a Service Level
Agreement (5 pages) which includes the following:
Project Description, Purpose, and Objectives: The
project description delineates key aspects of a project. In 2 pages, your
project plan should:
Describe the project and explain the purpose and
justification for the project.
Explain the goals and objectives of the project.
Describe the requirements for the project.
Explain the tangible measures for acceptance criteria
used to achieve project success.
Project Scope: The project scope defines the scope of
the project and how the scope will be managed. In 3 pages, your project
plan should:
Summarize, in detail, the expected deliverables for
the project.
Explain the acceptance criteria for the project.
Explain the project assumptions, risks, and
constraints.
Roles and Responsibilities: By definition, a project is
a unique undertaking with a beginning and an end point. One responsibility
of management is to determine who will be a part of the project team
(including designation of a project manager). Ask yourself, “Who needs to
be on this team to ensure that project goals are successfully met?”
Consider as well the importance of communication among team members. What
communication needs will each individual have? With whom will they
communicate and how?
Using the Project Roles and Responsibilities Matrix
template in the Learning Resources, list the names* and titles of all
individuals or entities involved in the project. Indicate whether each
stakeholder is internal or external to the project organization.
Note: For privacy purposes, please use pseudonyms.
Identify the internal and
external stakeholders for a project.
Distinguish the roles and
responsibilities of the project stakeholders.
Explain how to communicate
with project stakeholders.
Part
2: Project Schedule
There are many different
methodologies for planning and scheduling a project. For this Assignment, you
will develop a Gantt chart that depicts key project activities, time allotted
for each activity, and when each activity is scheduled to begin. To do so, you
will need to consider dependencies. Some activities will be sequential, others
may be simultaneous, and some may overlap.
Note: You may create your own Gantt chart using Excel, or search
for and download a Gantt chart template.
Using a Gantt chart, construct a project schedule.
In 3
paragraphs of your project plan, explain the estimating techniques used to
develop your project schedule. Provide rationale for why these techniques
will be effective.
Part
3: Strategies for Maintaining the Project Budget
A project begins with an approved
budget. Too often, however, unless the budget is meticulously managed, budget
overruns occur. Health care administrators must ensure that the project
management process includes careful oversight on spending. In 3 pages,
describe the project budget key success factors including the following:
Analyze at least three strategies that can be applied
for due diligence and maintaining oversight of the project budget.
Explain at least two challenges each of these
strategies might present and identify opportunities for improvement.
Compare the positive outcomes that might result from
each strategy.
Part
4: Risk Management, Quality Management, and Sustainability
Even the most straightforward and
well-planned project can be impacted by unexpected circumstances. Anticipating
risks is a key part of project management, and one that a health care
administrator or manager must ensure is taken into consideration by the project
team. Additionally, If not carefully monitored, budget and time constraints can
take a toll on the quality of a project. Create a 3 page risk
management and quality management plan, which includes the following:
Describe how you plan to manage risks for your project.
Analyze strategies for managing quality within your
project.
Analyze strategies for sustainability of your project.
Describe at least two tools and/or techniques you plan
to use to manage quality and defend why you chose those tools.

Sociology in Fire and EMS

For this discussion:

1. Create a “Mission Statement” for the fire service (Fire Department) in general.

2. Create a second “Mission Statement” for your department.

3. Additionally, write a paragraph or two on why is a “Mission Statement” so important.

4. Discuss ways to monitor how the fire service can ensure that their mission is being met. Is it just about “saving lives and property?” Or it is more about ensuring that the communities we service are getting the best that we can deliver?

Use at least two references to give your discussion post academic corroboration. The references should be in proper APA 7 format. References should be listed at the bottom of your post. Don’t forget to cite your reference in your post or the reference will not be counted.
