What events, experiences, and teachings have influenced the development of your values and morals?
How do your personal beliefs regarding moral and ethical behavior influence your worldview (perspective) and behavior?

Compare the heroic values in Genesis and the Iliad

Compare the heroic values in Genesis and the Iliad. How do the heroes Achilles and/or Hector show the ancient Greek values of honor and glory in battle, and how are these values different from the Old Testament values of obedience and faith in God shown in one or more of the Jewish patriarchs (Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and/or Joseph)? What do these differences in values say about the larger cultural differences in the Old Testament and ancient Greek views of a hero especially what function this hero plays within history and society?

this is an student example.
1. The reading that stood out to me the most is Deborah Brandt’s “Sponsors of Literacy.” Because this reading helped me realize how much of everything I know came from someone else, but it doesn’t stop there because the information that person told me was told by someone else, and so on and so forth. It shows how history is passed down to each generation. This applies to my everyday life because every day I learn something new. Learn a new piece of knowledge that I can apply to help me further my growth. Learning something can be as little as learning a new button on your microwave or as big as learning about a new concept that you can apply to your everyday thinking. This reading will be helpful as I pursue my career in teaching because I will have access to so many more knowledgeable people who will be there to pass on information that will help me in my career. You could say they are acting as my sponsors. Another reading that stood out to me was Anne Lamott’s “Shitty First Drafts.” I interpreted this reading as teaching me all good things come from something shitty. I will use this to remind myself taking risks aren’t bad and if it seems bad at first it can only be better.

for 2 i want you to write like this example
Word count: 192
For my major project 4, I will organize my letter as follows.
I am planning to write it to an incoming freshman because I know I would have appreciated this
and it would have made me more excited to accomplish my goals because I would be looking
forward to it.
For my introduction, I want to start off with how I viewed myself as a reader and writer before
taking this class and maybe what I expected out of the class and this will lead to talking about the
readings I found most useful and maybe readings I dont
For my body paragraphs, I will address the questions provided using the tests and talking about
the concepts and talk about my challenges when writing and how I overcame them (showing
growth) (use examples), and talk about how these readings and concepts will help me in the
future
For my conclusion, I will Reflect on the letter I wrote and reflect on myself, and plan on ending
it with how I view myself as a reader and writer now so that the letter comes full circle and
concludes the introduction
