English Children’s Literature Essay

Essay instructions are given in the file.

You will need to use 3 works “childrend books” from the course (list given in the file) and use them and choose one of three topics:

1) Money: Examine the role of money in the texts you have chosen, paying attention to how money is spent (by whom, on what), where money comes from (who earns it and how), and/or how the characters respond to discrepancies in cash flow.

2) School: Many texts on the course depict children who attend school. Examine the ideas about education that are developed in such texts, examining the depiction of teachers and their educational methods, the subjects taught, and peer relationships. (Do not expand this topic to focus on learning in a broader sense: stick to literal schools.)

3) Houses: Many texts on the course pay close attention to houses as sites of exploration, expressions of the inhabitants’ personalities, or sources of comfort, mystery, or magic. Examine how the houses characters inhabit become significant in the texts you have chosen.

Annual Performance Appraisal Timeline

Human resource field personnel often deal with the complaint of useful and non-useful performance evaluations/reviews. Many times, the intention is good, and the human resource department provides the resources for the evaluation to be meaningful and effective for both the employee and the employer.
Managers are rushed and at the end of the day, they are forced to gather all completed paperwork and to submit it, including performance evaluations. Sometimes, this situation results in a poor performance management evaluation system for the employee.
This week, please review academic journals to research best practices among the performance evaluation process. After summarizing best practices for effective performance measurements, create an annual timeline that human resources could use for managers to make the process a year-long process and not an annual report that is rushed because of other time- sensitive deadlines. Include suggestions for making the process more meaningful and engaging for the employee and supervisor. For example, document the number of times you will meet with employees throughout the year to discuss their progress. How will you document their successes, challenges, and concerns? Will professional development be incorporated? If so, how often? How will goals be revised, if needed, throughout the year? How is this determined? These are a few areas to consider for your plan. An annual plan will include a list of ideas/suggestions supported by academic literature. Flexibility is also important, because employee needs will differ.

Determine whether each of the following items is elastic or inelastic: bottled water, gourmet coffee, Apple cell phones, and gasoline. Explain your reasoning.

Your initial post should be a minimum of 300 words.

Develop a hypothesis about the use of culture in creating a customer-brand relationship.

Develop a hypothesis about the use of culture in creating a customer-brand relationship. How does the firm’s product and communication strategy support the brand in the global market and why. In your conclusion summarize your findings and then state how this can sustain a competitive advantage.

The position paper should begin with an introductory paragraph where you state your thesis statement. Then using the readings from Schiffman and Aaker, bring in both theory and examples to exemplify the theory to support your thesis statement for the body of the paper. Be sure to properly reference all ideas not your own. The conclusion should restate the thesis and summarize the key findings that support this thesis. The last part of each position paper should be the bibliography.

nursing success

Health institutions with transition programs have seen a marked drop in attrition, along with improved patient outcomes. There is a need for best practices of training new nurses that can be replicated across the country to ensure consistent quality of care, and drop the alarming turnover rates of new nurses. Additionally, the Institute of Medicine in its Oct. 5, 2010, “Future of Nursing” report calls for the implementation and evaluation of nursing residency programs (NCSBN, 2017).
(Links to an external site.)
1. What is success as a new nurse to you? What do you think is essential?
2. Look at the importance of effective communication, not just for patient safety, but also to promote collaboration and reduce incivility between staff members. Include this in your posts as well.

What Effects Will I Generate? Examining Consequences

Throughout your master’s program, you have been given numerous opportunities to apply the powers of your mind, as well as your heart, to issues concerning the well-being of young children, their families, and the early childhood field. And, as you have learned, this responsibility includes the obligation to examine not only your intentions, but also the unintended consequences of your actions.
For your Application Assignment this week, you will reflect on the intended and unintended consequences of your response and goals to the challenge you have chosen to address. You will be aided by research on consequences related to your topic as well as comments you received from the members of your MS in Early Childhood Studies community of practice in the Discussion.
Write a paper titled “Examining Consequences” that address each of the following questions:
What are the intended consequences of my response to the challenge I chose and my goals?
What might be the unintended consequences of my response to the challenge and my goals? (Think about who might be influenced negatively or even potentially harmed, including children, families, the field, and/or other stakeholders.)
What new challenges might result from unintended consequences?
What will not be under my control?
Based on factors that could be under my control, in what specific ways do I intend to modify my Statement of Response, my stated goals, and/or the composition of my Ideal Community of Practice?
