Multiple-question case covering time value of monies.
Individual assignment to be submitted on Turnitin, where you will have to utilize your knowledge gained on the computation of present values and future values, to explain and illustrate time value of monies.
This should be a refined version of the background sections, including a complete reference list in APA format. The document must be more than 7 double-spaced pages in length, plus references.
I have attached feedback I have received on my background draft as well as the background draft and outline. I have attached the syllabus as well that has the links for where you would find resources.
Read the article below and answer the open-ended question.
Isaac Asimov was an American writer who predicted what the world would look like in 2019 (35 years after George Orwell wrote 1984) You are responsible for predicting what society will be like in 2054 using some of the topics we covered in class this semester.
You will need to clearly label each connection you make. The connections you make will be listed below:
UNIT 2- Challange and Change in Canadian Society
Lesson 1: Demographics, Money, and Power
Lesson 2: Internal Devices
Lesson 3: The Social Construction of Ideas
Lesson 4: Work and Identity
Lesson 5: The Media
Lesson 6: Health and Beauty
Lesson 7: Politics
Once the writer has been hired I will attach the PDF document with the article!
Listen to the podcast or read the transcript for “Europe’s Vaccination Problem”
https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/12/podcasts/the-daily/covid-vaccines-europe.html?
In your groups, discuss how the information presented in the article relates to what you are learning in Unit 3. Specifically, consider questions such as:
How does the information in the podcast relate to the topics of Sourcing (Insourcing/Outsourcing/Offshoring) and Procurement?
What kind of tradeoffs did the EU encounter in contracting with global pharmaceutical companies to provide its vaccine doses?
From the information provided, what can you discern about the EU’s demand planning, both for PPE early-on and for the vaccines later?
In your opinion, has the EU done a good job of using the vaccine supply chains to create value for its citizens? Why (not)? If not, what do you think it could have done differently?
Be sure that, in addition to answering the questions above, you fulfill the requirements outlined in the Syllabus and Rubric:
Make ties between what we are learning and (1) the real-world application of marketing and (2) marketing’s impact on society
Be sure to use correct terminology from class
Attempt not only to speak into the ether but to write in a way that fosters conversation
Adhere to the rules of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and capitalization).
Finally: Please make sure that your posts do not violate the Course’s Rules of Engagement (see the Syllabus). I am aware that people have differing opinions on Covid-19 and the vaccines. However:
I have chosen these articles to help you translate what you’re learning via the lens of a current event.
You will soon graduate from college; you should be able to have polite and professional conversations with people who see the world differently from you.
These posts are not about your personal opinions or beliefs; they are about how well you can utilize what you’ve learned to assess a given topic.
To that end, please attempt to stick to the content of the course as much as possible and always be respectful of other people. Students that make offensive, derogatory, or inflammatory posts will be removed from their group, forfeiting the Discussion points, and might be removed from the class completely.
Individuals will take on the role of a principal in a multi-variable, cross-border negotiation. Whey will construct a comprehensive negotiating plan that includes the following components:
Strategic Plan. – 30 %
The strategic component includes Goals, Objectives, and BATNA analysis.
Excellent work will demonstrate the ability to select an appropriate case (from their own experience, outside cases or class work, or research exclusive of cases discussed in this class). Goals should be ambitious, possible, and move the company forward. Objectives should be specific deal points or proposals that you want from the specific counterparty. SMART goal setting, clear, logical variable selection, and comprehensive BATNA analysis is expected.
Tactical Plan – 30%
The tactical plan should be based on a well-constructed LIN matrix. There should be a logical connection between the conceptual VARIABLES in the strategic plan to the quantified Deal Points in the LIN matrix. Good papers will demonstrate an appropriate choice of deal points that are scored into proper L I & N value levels. Good papers will also clearly articulate how the choice of deal points and valuations result in appropriate behaviors and outcomes from the counterparty. I will be paying attention to the RELATIONSHIP vs. TRANSACTION decisions, and expect to see students clearly articulate the choices they have made and explain how their tactics support those decisions. Excellent papers will discuss the relationship between the tactical plan and cultural analysis in section 3.
The tactical plan should also include some type of CONCESSION MAP. Good papers will include a range of tactics and counters that they will use to execute their concession plan.
Cultural Plan – 30%
Using Hofstedes 6 Dimension model and the AA Matrix from class, students will construct a comprehensive cultural analysis of their upcoming negotiation. A brief STEEPLE analysis will contribute to the credibility of their conclusions. Excellent papers will clearly articulate how the results of the AA Matrix inform their choice of variables in section 2. Some outside research is appropriate for the construction of the STEEPLE and cultural responses.
STYLE Analysis 10%
The individual paper wraps up with a STYLE analysis, where students will explain their Opening and Terminal negotiating styles. It is expected that their choice of style be heavily influenced by their business goals from Section 1 and cultural analysis in Section 3. Good papers will clearly indicate how their choice of style and tactical plan – Section 2 – integrate.
I would expect them to be able to complete these analyses in 500 – 600 words, exclusive of charts, exhibits and worksheets.
After watching the YouTube video, you are to pick one of the murderers talked about in the video. You are to research the individual and crime(s) committed and write an essay on the person and their crime. How old was the murderer when they first murdered? How many murders? Who were the victims? Were there any underlying conditions? These are some suggested questions to answer.
In this assignment, you need to identify only two main
issues related to unemployment and/or inflation. You can choose two
unemployment related issues, or two inflation related issues, or one
unemployment related issue and one inflation related issues. Then you are going
to study their past trends, provide an overview of their current status, and
provide solutions to overcome them. You will use data, articles, experts’
opinions, and government reports to draw a clear picture of the current
unemployment and inflation issues.
Some areas you might consider are the following (you
could also choose different topics).
Part-time employment rates for economic
reasons
Unemployment rates among young college
graduates
Unemployment rates by gender
Unemployment rates among Black and
Hispanic communities
Low supply of labor (professionals) in
certain industries
High supply of labor in education
Low wages by profession and their causes
Low demand for labor in some industry (you
could choose whatever industry you wish)
Low wages in some parts of the country
High unemployment rate among workers with
high school diploma or less
The increase in the price of housing and
its effect on investment
The increase in the price of healthcare
and education and their effect on consumption
Your research needs to be structured with consistent
and clear thoughts. It also needs to be supported by actual data. Your results
need to be based on solid facts. Your conclusion and recommended solution need
to be thorough and based on your findings and understanding of macroeconomic
challenges and macroeconomic policies.

In looking at the possible types of dissemination, which appeals to you most? Why?
What steps could you take to share the results of your week 7 project in a professional setting?
One way to practice telling stories and using details is to use the senses to create pictures that communicate ideas and feelings. This week, I want you to try to do just that. You are going to write a description of your own. .
So what are you going to describe? A school. Yes, a school! Easy, right? Well, here is your challenge:
You are going to describe the school as seen by a person who has just lost someone close to them. But here is the kick to this – DO NOT mention EITHER person or what happened. (PLEASE KEEP IN MIND: “loss” can be defined in many ways – it can be a breakup, moving away, a teacher retiring, a fight between best friends, OR it can be a death. You are not at all required to go dark and morbid, but you can if you choose to. What you need to do is use your words to paint a picture of a place, the emotion, and the event without coming right out and saying, “My favorite teacher left right in the middle of the school year.” That is TOO EASY!!)
HINT: Do NOT think too much into this. When we are happy, the world and all of our surroundings look bright and beautiful. Birds chirp. Sun shines. People laugh.
Well, reverse it! . Consider how the narration “sounds.” Try to see the details of the school and its surroundings through the eyes of the person who is sad or in mourning. How would the world and the school look now? Just start describing it. Use your imagination – is it an abandoned, decrepit school? Is it a school still vibrant and full of life, totally opposite of the main character’s feelings? It is all up to you to create.
But remember: describe it, convey the mood and emotions, but dont reveal the catalyst for it!
You may use this line as the jumping off point to start your story. You can include it somewhere in the middle or at the end. Or you may find that it doesnt fit in your work, and that is OK! It is just an idea to include the image:
The school looms in front of me as memories flood my mind ….
