Discuss how nationalism and the New Imperialism shaped nationhood and citizenship in the West during 1815-1914. Include a short reflection and an annotation.
First select 2 nations and, from each, identify 2 unique conflcits for a total of four conflicts. For each nation, one conflict should highlight nationalistic tensions withing the nation and the other should relate to the New Imperialism.
Remember that conflicts may not necessarily mean military engagement, and instead may refer to political, economic, or social arguments over citizenship or colonization.
Next, using these 4 conflicts, compare how they impacted civil dynamics and defined civil roles in nation-states and the roles of these nations internationally. The comparison should demonstrate an eithical awareness, integrate perspectives of diverse cultures, and esteem the values of social and/or cultural aspects.
Finally, prepare one annotation for a library source you used and place it under the reference for that source. An annotation is not a summary or an abstract, instead is a quick identification of the credibility and utility of a source. Write one sentence answer each of the following items
1. Identify the credentials of the author. Is he or she a trained historian? If the source itself doe not real this, try this web search, including the quotation marks: “author’s name here” and “curriculum vite”
2. What is the main conclusion the author presents?
3. Identify the details of the source as a peer-reviewed history research article.
4. What kinds of data does the author use? This means: does he or she use primary sources generated in the times, like interviews, government documents, newpapers, other historical papers or quantitative data? Or, does the author use secondary sources or already published works about the times? Or, does he or she not offer sources?
5. Is the source relevant and complex enough to be useful to history researchers? This means: does it use strong sources to weigh in on ongoing historical issues, questions, and debates? Or, is it a simplified story focused on providing a lesson about us?

INSTRUCTIONS:
Perform a Market Attractiveness Analysis and prepare a short memo report to recommend the most attractive foreign market.
Purpose: The purpose of the analysis is to identify and understand which foreign market would be the most attractive for the focal firm to enter, and make a recommendation to the firm’s executive team. You will do so by comparing numerous foreign markets on relevant variables.
The criteria for evaluating countries varies by product and industry. However, for any product or industry, the goal is to determine what is the potential size of the market for the companys products.
With that in mind, population and wealth are two good variables to start with and are included in the table in the case. Youll need to add more variables to complete your index.
You will need to think about the digital streaming industry. What are the characteristics of digital streaming consumers? What is required to deliver the service consumers? Are there any other political, cultural, economic, or competitive forces that may influence market attractiveness?

and develop a market attractiveness index for all the locations in table in the Appendix. Use at least 5 variables, 2 of which must be population and income. When adding variables, make sure to explain the relevance of your new variables, and make sure they are not redundant with what you have already been provided, e.g., GDP/capita is already included, so adding another variable that captures wealth does not add much value.
Then prepare a short memo report (2-3 pages) addressed to Hulus executive board that describes your analysis and clearly states your recommendation.

. Including making your recommendation clear in the opening segment of the memo. (you do not necessarily have to choose the top scoring market, but it should be at least in the top 5).
As you describe you the process you used, mention the key sources of data that you used. This approach is probably new to most people, but it builds credibility early in the communication to help persuade your reader.
Describe each of the variables you used, the source of the data, why each one is relevant and their weights. You should also comment on which country is most attractive with respect to that variable.
Describe in more detail your ultimate recommendation and why you chose it. You should also comment on one or two other top scoring potential markets.
You might also include a snippet of the data for the top several markets from your index in the memo itself, especially for any markets you mention in the memo.
Remember, company executives will use the information to make a business decision, so you need to convince them that your analysis is competently executed and reliable.

Purpose
In this class, you have several opportunities to explore the process of increasing cultural humility in global health. In our student-centered approach of actively engaging students, the use of case studies is one of the most straightforward applications of student-centered learning. The following case study will establish a real-life framework for analysis that will allow you to put in practice the main principles discussed and then to figure out possible solutions for each particular situation. The process of analyzing the parameters of a problem, recognizing and articulating positions, evaluating courses of action, participating in discussions with your classmates, and arguing different points of viewespecially on how to apply those solutions in other similar situationswill significantly increase your skills in problem solving, analytical tools, (quantitative or qualitative, depending on the case), decision making in complex situations, and coping with ambiguities.

1. Intelligent design theory is an argument used by some people to challenge the teaching of evolution in public schools.
