Note: This is an activity rather than a discussion, but this activity will allow you to evaluate the employment data, which is one of the economic indicators we use to evaluate the overall economy. We will use this data, along with other economic indicators when we discuss the fiscal and monetary policy implemented in the US later during the semester.

The official unemployment rate published by the BLS is called U-3 unemployment rate and it excludes underemployed workers (part-time workers) and marginally attached to the labor force workers (discouraged workers). The BLS also calculates a broader unemployment rate, which is called U-6. This unemployment rate includes part-time workers as well as discouraged workers and it is about double the official U-3 unemployment rate.

Part one: Peplau was the first nursing theorist to identify the nursepatient relationship as being central to all nursing care. Asthma is a respiratory disorder that
affects children and adults. Advanced practice nurses often provide treatment
to patients with these disorders. Sometimes patients require immediate
treatment, making it essential that you recognize and distinguish minor asthma
symptoms from serious, life-threatening ones. Since symptoms and attacks are
often induced by a trigger, advanced practice nurses must also help patients
identify their triggers and recommend appropriate management options. Like many
other disorders, there are various approaches to treating and managing care for
asthmatic patients depending on individual patient factors.
