*This is an interview with a person of your choice in the given positions.
Assignment 5 is broken down into two main sections and various subsections.
Part 1 of the paper provides the Leadership Interview (described below).
Part 2 of this paper provides the organizational analysis that addresses six essential questions (see below).
Assignment 5 must be submitted as one document. Use APA Headers (Level 1, Level 2), for categorizing and defining each section of your paper.
Part 1: Leadership Interview
Set up an interview with someone in your work setting that you think has demonstrated effective leadership. It could be your Principal, Assistant Principal, your boss, a lead teacher, a teacher-leader. Using your textbook and other readings, formulate at least 10 questions that provides insight into why the leader does certain things (as opposed to what they do not do. Although you may ask about responsibilities and tasks, you want to delve into the leadership philosophy that drives the actions.
First, state who you interviewed and provide the reader with brief background details about the individual; also state why you identified and selected this person for study.
Second, present your interview questions and summarize the responses obtained in narrative form.
Conclude the Interview Section of your paper with a summary that responds to the following questions:
What did you learn from this experience?
What dominant leadership style does your interviewee have?
What effective leadership characteristics were most evident during your interview?
Did you hear of successful strategies that you will incorporate into your leadership style?
Part 2: Organizational Analysis
Following the interview, you should have an even stronger understanding of the leadership and the organizational philosophy in your work setting. Prepare a brief analysis of your organizations effectiveness. Use the questions that follow to guide your thinking.
How is your work setting organized (often there is a formal organization and an informal organization)?
Is power shared?
How are decisions made?
Do you see evidence of principle-centered leadership in your workplace?
What are the strengths and weaknesses of your organization?
What improvements might you suggest?
This paper should be approximately 6 pages (including a cover page). You may write in the first person and no references are required.

Purpose: Students are able to better conceptualize the formation of Basic Emotions and their impact on early cognitive processes through visual representations of these emotions and their application to real life scenarios.

Respond: Answer the following reflection questions as they pertain to the clips you have watched and your knowledge of Basic Emotional development in Infancy and toddlerhood.

Journals. Your journals are responses to particular discussion questions or ideas discussed in class or to specified readings. All journals will be typed, double-spaced, 12-pt font, with one-inch margins all around. Your journals will be collected on the day they are due, evaluated, and returned to you so that you can rewrite and perfect them. Then your revised journals are collected and evaluated as a whole at the end of the quarter.

Reflection Paper Format
I will be conducting a role play about child abuse and neglect, the group part has been going well and if you need any other information please do not hesitate to ask.
1. Discuss how the assignment added to your knowledge in the area of child welfare policy and research.
2. Discuss your experience regarding the use of innovative technology and digital media to enhance your knowledge of policy, research, and presentation skills.
3. Discuss your experience working in a group to complete this assignment. For example, how would you rate to group process?
4. How will the knowledge gained from the assignment inform child welfare practice?

Task: Identify and analyze an individual or group that would be negatively impacted by the recommended solution identified in your group’s technical report; create a profile that describes traits that can be used to build communications as well as those that may present obstacles; this is an individual assignment although coordination with your group is advisable
Purpose: To consider those “negative stakeholders” impacted by the issue you’ve selected, gain a better understanding of their perspectives and motivations for responding negatively to your recommended solution; anticipate and prioritize their concerns as potential obstacles
Criteria for Success: Negative stakeholder profile should contain various informational components as well as one thoughtful estimation of what that stakeholder’s primary concerns might be; profile should contain some surface-level (not exhaustive) research to reinforce traits of these target audiences.
Overview
Those involved in the development and implementation of any project should consider the stakeholders that will be impacted. “A stakeholder,” describes researcher Ingie Hovland (2008), “is a person who has something to gain or lose through the outcomes of a planning process or project” (p. 8). According to a basic stakeholder analysis model (see figure 1), these individuals and groups range in the levels of interest invested in the project. Stakeholders also vary in the levels of power they wield to influence the outcomes of a project.

There are many reasons to conduct a stakeholder analysis. “It is often beneficial for research projects to identify and analyze the needs and concerns of different stakeholders,” Hovland continues, particularly when these projects aim to influence policy” (8). It could be argued that one of the issues in curbing the spread of COVID-19 is the poor assessment of negative stakeholders and their ability to organize their efforts to disrupt safety protocols. Is this a case of citizens (high interest) attempting to influence policies they have little power over?

For this analysis, you will identify and consider a specific audience that will be negatively impacted by the recommended solution identified in your group’s technical report. This may be an individual (politician, boss, etc.) or a group (neighborhood, co-workers, etc.) that are external or internal to the imagined organization your group represents. If you’re having a difficult time coming up with an individual or group that would react poorly to your solution, consider who stands to lose (or perceives loss of) what they value. Reviewing the template provided may also help.
The challenge of this assignment is to not only identify negative stakeholders but sympathize with their perspective and develop a strategy that can help mitigate potential obstacles. Do the project details need to be better communicated? Does the project have to be adjusted to accommodate specific needs?

Successful analyses will avoid merely stereotyping members of the public based on demographic features. They will make a clear and evidenced case (some research will help here) for the content of public argument around a topic, taking account of arguments on both sides, and noting (without reconciling) the conflicting interests people may have in the topic.

Identify an individual or group that will be negatively impacted by the solution’s implementation. Jot down your own understanding of the stakeholder(s): what are your assumptions? what are you unsure of?
Look for potential negative stakeholders in the news. This will make it much easier to assess their response. Use your findings in your profile. A quotation and reference will support your findings and will make this assignment easier. The article’s comments section can be…interesting…but an invaluable source of info when it comes to getting the “pulse” of the public.
Once you’ve decided on an audience to focus on, it might be worth reaching out to your group to exchange ideas and compare stakeholders. It’s okay if there are identical selections – but be sure to be as specific as possible. “Politicians” will yield worse results than “Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett” for example.
Complete the profile to the best of your ability. There may be some guesswork and uncertainty involved. How can you better fill in these gaps? [hint: research]
Proofread for clarity, specific language, and an authoritative voice.

Business Proposal
As an organizational consultant, you have been working with the management and staff of RPZ Marketing for several months now, listening, observing, asking questions, and making suggestions. During this time, you completed research about the company, particularly about the specific business problem that you believed needed to be solved to enable RPZ Marketing to move ahead profitably in its marketplace. In the assignment you completed in Unit 9, you built the case for the importance of addressing this problem, discussed alternative solutions, recommended the solution that you believed would be most beneficial to the company’s future, and provided the rationale for your recommendation.
In this assignment, you have the opportunity to make a strong case for your solution to the CEO and board of directors of RPZ Marketing by creating a persuasive presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint.
Instructions
Slides. Your presentation should include a minimum of nine slides, including a title slide and reference slide, and no more than 12 slides. As in a professional presentation, the text on each slide should be succinct and impactful, providing only key words or no more than six bulleted points. Focus on providing just enough information from your research to persuade an executive audience. Remember that asking a question is a good way to draw in your audience.
Visuals. Visuals, including charts and graphs, if available, should be simple and limited, and directly support the key points on the slide.
Notes Section. Write detailed information to accompany your presentation in the notes section. Use the notes section to include in text citations for the sources you used in your presentation. Carefully edit your notes and slides to make sure the information is consistent. Your presentation should be visually appealing and engaging, but simple.
Outline
Use the following outline to structure your presentation:
Title slide (One slide).
State the title of your presentation, and include your name, the date, and “Prepared for RPZ Marketing.” Describe the result expected when the problem is solved.
Problem slides (Two slides).
Summarize the nature of the problem, the key facts involved, and the impact the problem is having on the business.
Potential solution slides (Four slides).
Summarize the approaches other companies have taken to solving this problem, what they did, what was effective and what was not. Describe several alternative solutions for solving the problem as it exists at RPZ Marketing.
Solution evaluation slide (One slide).
Present the advantages of each approach to solving the problem.
Solution slides (Three slides).
Succinctly describe the approach you recommend, and provide a concise summary of the benefits to RPZ Marketing if this solution is implemented.
Reference slide (One slide).
Cite the sources you referenced in creating your presentation, using APA stule and formatting if possible.

Review of a Bill Assignment
Select an active bill at the state or federal level that impacts the professional practice of nursing. In a 3-4 page paper (excluding the title and reference pages), summarize the bill’s provisions and clearly explain what the bill will accomplish. The paper should be no more than 4 pages, typed in Times New Roman using 12-point font, and double-spaced with 1″ margins.
Your review of a bill paper should:
Discuss the major provisions of the bill.
Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the legislation by explaining the background and all relevant facts.

Use primary sources for this information.

Explore the positions of the key stakeholders in the bill, both pros, and cons. Do not make assumptions about potential key stakeholders. Examine this area carefully so you are correctly reflecting the stakeholders’ positions.
Discuss how the bill would impact a nurses ability to provide safe and quality care or practice to the highest scope of the nursing license.
Explain specific actions that nurses can take to assist with the passage or defeat of the legislation
