Business model innovation in the public sector
Hello authors
We are a junior consultants and have been commissioned by a city to make the neighborhoods more attractive by means of microhubs.
Initially, the city only wanted one micro hub, which was mainly about delivering things, processing them, and sending them on. Furthermore, they wanted to implement it fully automatically. We, on the other hand, have expanded the proposal and want to convince them that only if the neighborhood residents get involved will these micro hubs actually create added value for these neighborhoods. That is why we have developed 2 models – (see appendix).
In the appendix of the documents, this essay is about convincing the city councilors to accept our proposal. Furthermore, ideas should be worked out on how to implement these plans.
It is important to address these questions:
What makes our idea innovative?
What ideas do we have?
Why is it worthwhile for the city?
How can these plans be implemented?
Which actors/sponsors etc. could help the city?
How can the neighborhood residents benefit?
What incentives can we create to get neighbourhood residents involved?
Do you feel addressed, do you have experience, and do you dare to master this task?
