Waterways (Chapter 27)
For this assignment, you will apply what you have learned from the unit lesson and required unit resources. The Waterways (WP27) case is located on page 27-35 of the textbook.
Waterways puts much emphasis on cash flow when it plans for capital investments. The company chose its discount rate of 8% based on the rate of return that it must pay its owners and creditors. Using that rate, Waterways then uses different methods to determine the best decisions for making capital outlays.
This year, Waterways is considering buying five new backhoes to replace the backhoes it now has. The new backhoes are faster, cost less to run, provide for more accurate trench digging, have comfort features for the operators, and have 1-year maintenance agreements to go with them. The old backhoes are working just fine, but they do require considerable maintenance. The backhoe operators are very familiar with the old backhoes and would need to learn some new skills to use the new backhoes.
The following information is available to use in deciding whether to purchase the new backhoes.

What we’ve learned about Americans’ views of technology during the time of COVID-19

Over the past several decades, health care and information technology
have undergone a period of dramatic change caused by a multitude of
pressures and opportunities, many of which continue to persist and
evolve. More recently, we have started to leverage the power of health
care information technology to improve patient outcomes and to better
engage patients in taking ownership of the health care processes. In
addition, we have started to see a shift in health care reimbursement
tied more toward patient outcomes than that of services actually
rendered.

Assignment:
Read and review the assigned reading for this module to familiarize yourself with health care information systems and how they are used to
improve patient outcomes (health outcomes). In addition, conduct some additional research on how health care systems are used to improve

Overview
Most states regulate their health departments by city or county. Use your textbook, the Internet, and Basic Search: Strayer University Online Library to research health department regulations for food service facilities that are closely related to the location where you reside. Focus on possible challenges to the restaurant industry, such as health department regulations and requirements, social concerns, competitive issues, and demographic and geographic issues.

Determine the challenges involved in managing a restaurant operation that are specific to your state or local municipality, as well as how you would address those challenges.
