The goal of moral philosophy is to develop a set of principles and a view of our aims in life that will allow us to live with clarity and confidence. Begin by asking yourself, why should we be moral?
Question: Assuming that we agree on a list of injunctions which we all ought to obey, which we call ‘morality,’ why should we be moral?

2B Intellectual Property

Please see assignment attached. Please only use resorces provided.

This writing piece should cover these topics:

This week we are going to be thinking about intellectual property issues and copyright. Although we touch on many learning objectives, our main focus this week is the one which asks you to
Demonstrate an understanding of ethical, legal, and social issues surrounding plagiarism, copyright, and intellectual property
Lawrence Lessig is a US academic and activist most recently, an activist for political campaign reform. However, hes also famous for his ideas about the need for reforms to copyright laws, and is the founder of Creative Commons, which offers one alternative to copyright.
In this unit, well be watching a video where he argues that the current copyright laws suppress human creativity. Well also hear from Johanna Blakley, who argues that fewer copyright restrictions help the fashion industry thrive. We will also read a graphic non-fiction piece from Duke Law’s Center for the Study of the Public Domain which explores copyright law, including fair use and copyright infringement.
Consider carefully the ideas raised in these materials. Are our current laws which apply to intellectual property appropriate and necessary? Should they be scaled back or done away with? To what degree do alternatives to copyright like Creative Commons solve any problems you perceive with IP laws?

Perspectives on Health and Wellbeing

LO3- Summarise the potential of poor health on the individual.

Identify an individual in you chosen case study.
Consider the causes of poor health i.e. you may wish to link between poverty and health.
Summarise the potential impact of poor health on the individual in your chosen case study (Refer back to the Health belief model).
Ensure that you support your discussion points with references from appropriate sources of evidence.

EMR Implementation Plan

You were just hired as a Director of Quality for a regional group of 15 private medical offices throughout New York City. They are still using a paper medical record, as they didn’t want to be bothered with the transition and the staff prefer manual records, as they are still computer illiterate. You have the responsibility of collaborating with an external consultant to implement a new electronic medical record. Please develop a plan for implementation of the new EMR, including staff education, as well as any requirements from a QI perspective.

Bullying

You need to identify a complex Texas problem, which is Bullying. You’ll have to figure out how you would best solve this problem and how others might solve it differently, and how you would respond to those people’s arguments. It’s a research paper, so you must cite your initial source from The Texas Tribune as well as the two other academically credible sources. (Which I have the links to). Have to use the word “because” to provide the warrant for your claim. The thesis should come after the introduction, must look like this: “While solving___is complex and ____ has been tried too far, ____may be the best way to solve the problem because ___.” Then, you can write the background section, and discuss and research about what is already being done to solve the problem. In the body of the essay, the “lines of argument” section will be my own argument about how best to solve the problem. This is where you research, examples. The “consideration of alternative arguments” section will be discussions about how other people or groups might want to solve the problem differently. The conclusion should emphasize the importance of solving the problem in the best way possible (my way).

It is time to complete your final assignment for this course. Demonstrate your mastery over academic research, argumentative writing, appropriate grammar and style, and your understanding of rhetorical modes to complete this final assignment.

DIRECTIONS
Now that you have created a thorough outline, you should continue to expand the outline into an essay format using proper APA style. Additionally, you will need to show competency in constructing a research-based argumentative piece of writing.
To meet that goal, you will need to meet the following requirements:
Demonstrate critical thinking and critical analysis skills, including your use of a research based argumentation
Write between 1,000 – 1,200 words
Papers that do not meet at least 1,000 words are subject to a pro-rated penalty. (i.e. submitting 800 words would result in a 20% loss of grade as 20% of the paper’s word requirements were not met)
Effectively organize your essay. Write a clear introduction, thesis statement, multiple body paragraphs supporting the thesis statement, and a clear conclusion
Use at least four sources.
Using a source means quoting, paraphrasing, or summarizing it, including a citation each time it is being used
Reference each source you use in your reference list
You should use the following sources:
Your textbook selection from Weeks 1, 2, and 3
Two peer-reviewed academic journal sources from Keiser’s e-Library
At least one additional credible source, which may include a reading from your text, the e-Library, or another reputable location
Additional sources are optional.
Contact your instructor if you are unsure as to whether a source will count towards the requirements.
If less than four sources are used, 10% may be taken off for each missing source (i.e. using only two sources would result in a 20% loss of grade)
No block quotes should be included. Use integrated quotes only.
Use 3rd person objective point of view only. Avoid 1st and 2nd person point of view.
Use academic language and proper grammar and mechanics. Consider using the Online Writing Lab
PowerPoint 1 – Alternative Formats
or your local campus Writing Studio prior to submitting this paper.
REQUIREMENTS
Format your paper using 7th edition APA requirements. (No abstract is needed for APA 7 student papers.)
No more than 20% of the paper should be from quoted source support.
No visuals should be used (i.e. images, charts, graphs, etc.). Use written material only.
This paper is due by Sunday of Week 4.
Only one submission is allowed. Contact your instructor if you have a problem.
Papers submitted after 11:59 PM on Sunday of Week 4 will not be graded without prior approval by the instructor.
