Character Comparison Shakespear

Analysis frequently involves comparison (Comparison is used as an all-purpose term that covers both comparing and contrasting – meaning that is understood that you will look at both similarities and differences) in some form. Taking a close look at two related ideas/characters allows each element to cast light and enhance our understanding of the other. The purpose of comparison is to call attention to the unique features of something by holding it up against something similar but significantly different.

The first step in this process is to select which characters you will compare. There are several pairings that make obvious choices – Hamlet/Laertes
i am selecting HAMLET and LAERTES

Once you’ve selected your characters you need to determine what your claim will be about the comparison. Remember, this is not just a list of similarities and differences; you are attempting to make a point. The main things to keep in mind when selecting characters is this:
1. Does it make sense to compare these two characters?
2. What question will the comparison help answer?
3. What is the point for comparison?

When looking at characters keep in mind that the way we analyze their actions and develop insights about them come from three areas:
1. What he/she says
2. What he/she does
3. What other characters say about him/her
Please keep your analysis grounded in the text. Provide support for your claims.

There are several ways to organize your essay and your structure should indicate a clear, thoughtful process towards offering proof of your thesis. When you write a comparison essay you are not simply writing a book report in tandem – where the characters’ actions are written about side by side and left at that – you are analyzing the similarities and differences and attempting to offer insight into both characters.

Program Budget/Justification and Gantt Chart

Abstract
The budget is the financial expression of the project and should accurately reflect the costs of the proposed research/education/service program. The budget justification provides the sponsor agency and reviewers of the application with information such as why costs are programmatically necessary and how they are calculated.

Assignment
This assignment has two parts.
1. First, develop a sample program budget. In your report, provide justification for each line item in your budget. For example, do not simply write “$500 for office supplies.” What exactly are you purchasing (e.g. printer, ink, paper for handouts, 50 pencils for attendees, etc)? Be specific.

2. Second, create your program schedule (timeline) as a Gantt Chart. This chart lists the tasks to be performed on the vertical axis, and time intervals on the horizontal axis. The width of the horizontal bars in the graph shows the duration of each activity. This can be completed on Excel, Microsoft Word, or various websites online.
I have included a sample for your reference (this is only a sample; it is not all-inclusive nor was it given a 100% grade).

Self Incrimination and Confessions

Description
You are a police officer assigned to a task force that is investigating major drug trafficking operations in your jurisdiction. As part of the investigative process, a judge has issued a wiretap order for a suspect’s phone. You are assigned the responsibility of monitoring phone conversations, and you overhear the suspect, as well as other individuals, who may or may not be involved in the drug ring. Before obtaining enough evidence to arrest and prosecute the suspect, you hear evidence related to other types of criminal activity.

Assignment Guidelines

In a 3–5-page paper (not including the cover and reference pages), address the following:

What constitutional issues are involved in the scenario that dictate what you can and cannot do related to the evidence of other criminal activity outside of the scope of the original wiretap order? Explain.
Example 1: You want to act on the information about the murder plot, but your warrant does not cover that. The Fourth Amendment requires that you have a warrant to listen but only for the evidence written on that warrant.
Example 2: The Fifth Amendment gives people the right to not testify against themselves. This is the law against self-incrimination. If you act on the information about the murder plot, you are denying the offender their Fifth Amendment rights because their words incriminated them.
If you arrest the other individuals for the crimes not associated with the reasons for the wiretap, what happens to any future evidence that might be obtained from the wiretap? Why?
Hint: Consider the doctrine of fruit of the poisonous tree, or the exclusionary rule.

Part A: Cover Letter

Health care administration is a competitive field—a well-crafted cover letter makes a compelling argument for why you are the best candidate for the position. A cover letter is generally three to four paragraphs long and should be optimized for the position you are seeking. Some employers use your cover letter to assess your ability to write with clarity and free from grammatical and spelling errors. Using your resume and chosen job description, craft an optimized cover letter that includes relevant skills, education, experience, and career passions.

To complete Part A, follow these steps:

Review your chosen job description. Take note of required skills, qualifications, and responsibilities. Also familiarize yourself with the company mission, purpose, or goal. This information can give you valuable insight into company culture—is the company a Fortune 500 corporation that places emphasis on formal communication? Or are you applying for a position at a family health center with a diverse hiring team? These details should influence how you craft and optimize your cover letter.
Brainstorm and write down any skills or qualifications you possess that align with the job description. As was the case with your resume, you may find some skills or qualifications listed with similar terms. Whenever possible, use the same term as is listed in the job description.
Research the company, organization, or hiring manager. Depending on the size of the company or industry, this can range from easy to somewhat difficult. For tips on how to research organizational culture and operations, review the article The Complete Guide to Researching a CompanyLinks to an external site.. As you conduct your research, make notes about the organization’s business model, intended customers or services provided, current news or announcements, and any staff or executives you can research or connect with on LinkedIn.
Choose three to four skills or qualifications to emphasize in your cover letter. Now that you have done some research, you should have a clear idea of which skills will most captivate a hiring manager at your target company or organization. Be sure to include those skills as selling points in your letter.
Craft your cover letter. Review the Sample Cover Letter for HCA460 Download Sample Cover Letter for HCA460document for instructions on proper formatting. Each time you mention a skill, qualification, or competency, you should provide a specific example of how you developed, refined, or used that specific skill, qualification, or competency.
Part B: Resume and Jobscan

After you have identified a specific job description and crafted your cover letter, you will need to optimize your resume for applying to that position.

To complete Part B, follow these steps:

Revise your resume to better align with the job description. This could include improving bullet points to better reflect the job requirements, or rephrasing skills and qualifications to better reflect those listed in the job description (For instance: You might change the word ‘supervised’ to ‘managed’ to better address that requested qualification). Be honest as you optimize your resume but be certain to use the language in the job description wherever possible. For help listing transferable skills, review this article: The Ultimate Transferrable Skills List for Your ResumeLinks to an external site..
Use Jobscan to compare your resume to the job description. As a University of Arizona Global Campus student and future alum, you have access to Jobscan, a web-based tool that provides instant feedback on how closely your resume matches a specific job description. Access Jobscan by viewing the Optimize a Resume With JobscanLinks to an external site. To generate an analysis, paste the contents of your resume and the job description into the Jobscan tool fields
Note: Make sure you take a screenshot of each Jobscan report you run and save the report(s) in a Word file. You are required to submit at least one Jobscan report with your cover letter and resume.

Explore your Jobscan analysis and make substantive changes. Explore your report and make the suggested changes. This could include modifying keyword choices, improving bullet points and quantifiable outcomes, and making changes to layout or section headings.
For additional assistance, review the Sample Jobscan Report Download Sample Jobscan Reportdocument.
Generate another Jobscan report with your optimized revised resume. Take note of whether your resume more closely aligned with the job description after making the changes suggested by Jobscan. Also, take note of any required skills or qualifications you do not possess. Did your percentage of alignment increase? If so, by how much?
Note: Jobscan currently allows for two resume scans. Contact Career ServicesLinks to an external site. if you need additional scans.

Part C: Reflection Questions

Discuss the following questions, reflecting on the changes you made to your resume after using Jobscan:

Did you need to alter or add keywords to align your resume with the job description?
What changes did you make and why?
Which skills and/or experience do you currently posses that match the requested qualifications?
Which skills and/or experience do you not posses that are included in the job description?
Do you feel you qualify for this position? If so, why? If not, what qualifications are you missing?
