white collar

Find a true example of people being arrested for a White Collar crime, a political crime, and a crime committed by someone in organized crime. In 750-1,000 words, explain the following:

Briefly describe each of the crimes (who was involved, what the crime was, who the victim was, etc.)
Explain the outcome of each case, including the punishment and sentence given for each crime.
Explain if you feel the punishments for each of the crime were justified. Were the punishments for any of the crimes not fitting the seriousness of the crime? Why are these three types of crimes punished in the ways they are?
Use three to four scholarly resources to support your explanations.

“Small Change” (Malcolm Gladwell)

Turnitin™ enabledThis assignment will be submitted to Turnitin™.
For this essay, you will write a rhetorical analysis of one of the assigned texts. A rhetorical analysis focuses on HOW a text presents an argument. Essentially you are analyzing the choices an author makes and judging the effectiveness of those choices.
Basic Requirements:
The essay should be at least 900 words in length.
Make sure that you have a strong, argumentative thesis statement that clearly lays out what you will discuss in your paper.
Use the scholarly tone for writing a formal paper.
Support your argument with evidence from the text.
Include proper MLA in-text citations and Work(s) Cited page. Written using MLA format for a formal essay.
Note: All work submitted must be original. If you need help understanding plagiarism, please check out some of the material under content or ask me directly. You can not submit work that has previously been submitted for another class.
Texts for Rhetorical Analysis:
Choose one of the texts from our assigned reading list:
“This is Water” (David Foster Wallace)
“Small Change” (Malcolm Gladwell)
“Letter from Birmingham Jail” (Martin Luther King Jr.)
“Remarks by the President in Eulogy for the Honorable Reverend Clementa Pinckney”
“Remarks by President Trump at National Prayer Breakfast”
“Watching TV Makes You Smarter” (Steven Johnson)
“Alt-Right” (Southern Poverty Law Center)
“The Logic of Stupid Poor People” (Cottom)
“I’ve Stayed Silent for Way Too Long” (Holiday)
Using one of the above texts, construct an argument concerning whether or not the author is successful in presenting his/her message. To do this, the first point you must establish is what you consider the purpose of the text. (You will likely include this in your introduction) Then decide if the text is successful in presenting its message. Why or why not? What rhetorical techniques does the author use to achieve their goal? What choices does the author/speaker make in order to reach the audience.

Soc Theory: Marx

In his major work Capital Marx set out his analysis of the commodity and its power (the fetishism of commodities) which led to his analysis of capital in general (M-C-M) with its three types: merchant, industrial and interest-bearing. First, spell out these two dimensions of Marx’s analysis of modern capitalism-the commodity and its fetishism as well as the nature of capital in general and two of its particular three types: merchant and industrial. Here you should focus your answer on explaining in some detail the nature of capital in general and the specific details of merchant and manufacturing capital. Then, you should turn to Marx’s analysis of the social relations of production of capitalist society. Here you need to spell out the role of the capitalist as the living support of the process of capital accumulation, as well as how the labor-power of the wage-laborer is the only source for increases in exchange-value that creates surplus value for the capitalist. Finally, discuss why Marx believed that the normal functioning of capital would lead to the centralization and concentration of capital.

Please read the attach papers and do a Summary & Recommendations (no more than 5 full content pages, excluding
graphs/tables)
Recommendations must reflect your industry and organizational analysis. Provide a set
of recommendations based on your analysis, especially the SWOT analysis. Your
recommendations must address the opportunities, threats, strengths and weaknesses of
your analysis. Prioritize the opportunities, threats, strengths, and weaknesses that you
identified. Address them in descending order in this section, addressing the most
important first and in the greatest detail. Recommendations should capitalize on
opportunities and strengths and minimize threats and weaknesses. Provide a
justification for each recommendation. In some cases, you may choose not to take
advantage of an industry opportunity. If this is the case, defend your decision.
Be certain your recommendations are reasonable (that the company could implement them)
and make fiscal sense. Discuss how your recommendations should be financed. You may
want to give a schedule (time frame) for implementation of your recommendations.
You need to provide a summary of SWOT analysis before you give detailed list of the
recommendations. Based on the above SWOT analysis, produce reasonable and justifiable
recommendations in this section. In your recommendations, comment about the organization’s
profit for future competitiveness and success. What does the organization have to do right to
succeed (organization’s Critical Success Factors)? What are the expected results in terms of short- and long-term profitability and survival? short- and long-term profitability and survival?

Life Cycle of Claim

The life cycle of a medical claim can be very confusing for new staff. Each staff member plays a different part in contributing to the claim and pertinent documentation or submission of the claim. Nurses and clinical staff may not have as much to do with filling out claims forms as billers do, but they need to know what types of insurances require additional documentation and forms; front desk staff will need to know when to collect coinsurance and balance bills and when to ask for secondary insurances; coders will need to know any special coding requirements for secondary insurances. Billers will need to understand the entire cycle.
In this scenario, you are playing the role of a trainer and you will create a essay explaining the left cycle of a claim to new employees.

In the essay it should explain the Life Cycle of a Claim (the points below)
Patient Pre-Registration
Establish Financial Responsibility
Patient Check-in & Check-out
Superbill (Encounter Form)
Prepare and Transmit the Claim
Monitor Payer Adjudication
Generate Patient Statement
Follow up Payments and Collections
