intergenerational justice assignment

For this week’s short paper assignment, you will discuss the concept of intergenerational justice, which is addressed in the Module 10 readings. The term has been spotlighted by a few notable public figures recently due, in part, to the 2020 Democratic Primary and the 2020 US Presidential Election. For this assignment, you’ll answer the following questions: what is your view/opinion on intergenerational justice? Are there any “good” reasons for conflict between generations of Americans? Is the older generation exploiting the younger (or vice versa)? Do you agree with Mayor Buttigieg (who is now US Secretary of Transportation) that most of the Democratic candidates for the 2020 Democratic Primary were “too old?” Feel free to use the readings this week to support your answers, and feel free to pull in outside materials as well (e.g., Buttigieg was not the only candidate to discuss equity and conflict between generations, and this is a topic that has come up in several election cycles).

Your submission this week will need to be 2-3 pages in length, with any applicable references properly cited using APA formatting. Your submission will require the following:

Share your view on intergenerational justice and conflict (and whether you think conflict is beneficial in some instances)
Discuss whether you think different generations are “exploiting” one another (and, if so, in what capacity – here, it may help to provide an example)
State whether you agree or disagree with Buttigieg’s views on age in the Democratic Primary (and why or why not)
This short paper assignment is worth 5 points. For full credit, students must:

Submit a paper that is professional in presentation and is the correct length (1.5 points).
Address the 3 bolded components described above (3 points).
Properly format any and all references using APA guidelines (0.5 points).

MAT312 Excel Lab #5 – Relationships in Real Estate

NOTE: You need to use the Excel functions/tools for the test rather than just typing numbers into the cells. Along with the Excel tutorial videos presented each week, examples in Chapter 14 work through similar problems, so please review these before attempting the lab.

After being hired as a financial advisor for a large real estate company, you have been tasked with exploring trends between home size (square ft) and property taxes to see if a relationship exists and if that trend can be applied outside of just the sample data.

In the Excel Lab #5 Data File, you will find raw data on sheet 1. However, to simplify your calculations, you have only been asked to test a random sample of 10 homes. So, your first step will be to randomly select data from 10 of the homes and paste them into sheet 2 called “sample data”. This will be the data that you will analyze. (You can generate 10 random numbers between 5 and 30 however you want for your sample, but know that there is essentially no chance two students should have the same 10 samples).

Within the Excel spreadsheet, use the Excel tools/functions to calculate the correlation coefficient, test statistic, and p-value. You will also use Excel to generate a scatterplot of your sample data with a linear regression (line of best fit) model. All of these results should be shown on the Excel spreadsheet. Don’t forget to put your name on the first sheet of the spreadsheet as this will be uploaded as an Excel file to Canvas.

As your boss is not interested in sorting through data on a spreadsheet, you will then write up a professional report summarizing your findings. This report should include your scatterplot graph and any necessary tables. Within your report, in addition to any appropriate introductions, conclusions, citations, etc. also discuss the following:
• Interpret the correlation coefficient.
• Discuss the hypothesis in order to determine whether the population correlation between the two variables differs from zero.
• What are the results of the hypothesis test in the context of this task (at the 5% significance level)?
• What is the sample regression equation that could enable your to predict property taxes on the basis of the size of a home?
• Using this, predict the property taxes for a home that is 1,500 square ft.

This should be written as if you were writing a professional report to your employer, not an outline of tasks you did for a project in stat class. You can find a sample report (for a different type of test!) on page 508 in the textbook to see how a statistical report can look.

Comprehensive family assessment

Based on your assessment and formulation, develop a comprehensive intervention plan. Identify outcome goals and objectives at the micro, mezzo and macro practice levels. Note the intervention strategies necessary to achieve the goals. Explain your thinking and review the literature that supports this approach. Be sure to identify the social work role sets necessary to carry out this plan. Discuss specifically how you will measure progress for each goal. You must have a minimum of 15 references with at least half coming from different academic journals.
The purpose of this assignment is to give you an opportunity to demonstrate your understanding of generalist practice in social work as applied to the “Martinez Family” (refer to UBLearns for case information). This is one assignment with several integrated components that attempt to follow a generalist social work practitioner’s activities and thinking process in integrating all facets of work with a target system. Using the “Martinez” family, you will explore problem(s) in context from all levels of generalist practice and develop a well-integrated intervention plan that considers all these levels. Your work must evidence a strong conceptual grasp of the generalist approach to social work practice, the course reading materials, appropriate literature, and the most recent and relevant research.
Please write a family assessment and formulation that considers the problems from all levels of generalist practice. This assessment should include a brief written description of the client system and the problem(s) being experienced by that system. Please make reference to the theory, research and literature that inform your thinking. Theory must be applied at all system levels to inform assessment. Include a diagnostic formulation in the paper. This highlights key content of the assessment, identifying the predisposing, precipitating and perpetuating factors of the presenting problem(s), and the general direction for work.

New Product Development Process

o develop new products and services efficiently, organizations go through a process to ensure that their products are ready for market. The new-product process is a set of stages that an organization goes through to identify opportunities and convert them into profitable products or services. This process is meant to evaluate interest in a product and helps to increase the chances of success within the marketplace. As discussed in the video case, Hope Springs Water Company is using this process to identify opportunities to develop new, complementary offerings to its bottled water. By using the new-product development process to develop naturally flavored bottled water, Hope Springs Water Company can make decisions on hard data and a structured process instead of guessing whether this new additive will be successful within the marketplace. This activity is important because marketers must understand that from idea generation and screening/evaluation to market testing and product launch, this process increases the chances of new-product success within the marketplace. The goal of this activity is to understand the elements of the new product development process.

Address the following, based on the video and assigned readings for this week:

Referring to Exhibit 12-2, “Diffusion of Innovation Curve,” Exhibit 12-5, “Product Life Cycle,” and Exhibit 12-6, “Characteristics of Different Stages of the Product Line,” assess the following elements for the Hope Springs Water Company launching a new product line: the all-natural water additive:
Price strategy for different cycles of the product.
Promotion strategy for different cycles of the product considering the typical consumers for each cycle. Be strategically creative!
Using information from Chapter 11, recommend one new product to add depth to the all-natural water additive line of product, and one new product as a successful brand extension for Hope Springs Water Company.
Explain your rationale.

Self Evaluation and Eportfolio

Reflections EPortfolio

The purpose of the ePortfolio is to show me (with examples) and tell me (in your own words) how you have changed over the course of the semester: how you think differently, know new things, understand something better, and are better at doing a few things.
There are 4 organizational strategies you may choose from for your ePortfolio. You should organize each section, slide, or page of your portfolio by the 5 qualities of effective writing as explained in your rubrics (unity, coherence, clarity, content, and formatting), OR by the steps in the writing process (prewriting, outlining, drafting, revision, formatting and publication), OR by the contemplative qualities of mindfulness, gratitude, compassion, and community, OR by the 4 course outcomes (below).
You should use SL&L (through D2L), but could use Microsoft word or PowerPoint, Google Docs or Slides, Prezi, or even an Adobe product can be used to create your ePortfolio. The instructions I provide are instructions on using SL&L. I have also provided guidelines for how to write good reflection paragraphs, which are the “bread and butter” of a self-evaluation: Please pay close attention to what is required in a self-evaluation paragraph. See students past examples, be creative! Any google images must be cited see example on images.

I have uploaded all my disussions and Unit Assignments with the professor’s feeback, grade, and the Level of writing I received to be use as proof. You can snip and sketch to show an exmaple or uploaded thentire file link within the project so others can click and review it. It goes from Level 1 to 4. (low-high) Please read the instructions and requirements carefully. I will like to use the 5 qualities for effective writing or the 4 Course outcomes for my portfolio. I am requesting 3 images/graphicfrom google to represent unity, coherent, clarity in writing on their pages, be sure to cite the images..
