Research and write a brief essay on how the life chances of low income people in your community, county or state compare with the life chances of people in a low income nation of your choice. Refer to chapter eight regarding “life chances.” They are “opportunities to provide people with material goods positive living conditions and favorable life experiences. They are reflected in measures such as housing, education and health.”
You have flexibility and creative control as long as you follow the directions. Read the requirements carefully. If you are not sure which low income country to research, I think the easiest thing to do is to google “low income countries” and pick one.
Do not over think this essay or make it more difficult than it needs to be.
This is an essay not a research paper. All I am looking for is basic information about a low income country of your choice and then you correctly apply sociological concepts to your rudimentary research.
