Your task is to generate concepts taking into account the need statements and specifications defined in learning assignments 4 and 5.
STEP 1: Summarize the mission/problem
Briefly define your goal (mission) by summarizing the main customer needs for your product.
STEP 2: Decompose your problem into sub-problems
Select the method that you find most suitable for decomposing your product’s main problem (or need) into sub-problems. You can either apply
– functional decomposition
– decomposition by sequence of user actions or
– decomposition by key customer needs.
Make a simple and visual presentation of the sub-problems.
STEP 3: Find alternative solutions to different sub-problems
Find alternative solutions/approaches to different sub-problems. Present your results in a concept combination table.
