In this assessment task you are required to conduct a review of the current literature using a systematic approach. There will be several key sections to this assessment task, including creation of a flow chart that represents how the literature search was conducted including the inclusion / exclusion criteria, the final selected papers (10-12) represented in a table format highlighting the following aspects; author/year/country, methodology, participants, key findings, and a detailed description of the key findings of the selected papers.
Flow charts, tables, references and data will not be included in word count.
Introduction- paragraphs 1to 2- introduce the main topic, what the concept is that you are going to discuss.
Purpose- 1 to 2 senstences
Methods- 2 to 3 paragraphs that include summary of search method, search strategy ( search terms), use and mention PICO technique and add a flow chart of literature search for inclusion and exclusion of articles.
Article characteristic- what sort of articles, year of publication, place.
Results- summary table, quality appraisals score. 1-2 paragraphs summarising the key findings.
Discussion- 2-3 paragraphs.
Limitations and recommendations- what are the limitations in your articles. (Optional).
Conclusion- what have you found. 1 short para
References.
