Controlling interest rates and the circulation of money? Providing a safety net and other economic stabilizers? Redistributing wealth? What are the benefits and drawbacks of each area of government participation in the economy? With the inflation at its current high which monetary tool do you suggest be used to calm the economy?
C. Explain the weaknesses of legislative compared to executive authority.
D.Consider the mass casualty terrorism that occurred on 9/11, in addition to many other high-profile attacks against civilian targets around the world. What do terrorists hope to achieve with their acts of violence? In your estimation, does terrorism work? Why or why not?
E. Examine the process by which U.S. judges are nominated and confirmed. Does this seem like a fair process? What impact does it have on the political leanings of the Court, and therefore, on United States law?
