Set your issue/topic/law/agency in its historical context. (when was
it created/started and any significant moments in its history)

Discuss significant laws or events that affect your area of public
policy/law or agency. (For example, the ACA and healthcare policy or the
ESA/EPA and environmental policy)
Discuss federal, state, and if applicable local agencies that deal
with your area of public policy. If you are writing about an agency,
include details about how the agency implements public policy.

Discuss current issues affecting your area of public policy/law or
agency. Focus on the last 10 years. (Obama, Trump, Biden
Administrations)
Your thoughts on the area of public policy/law or agency you researched.
Paper Requirements
APA or MLA format including in-text citations plus a reference page (no abstract).
3 full pages length (not counting title page and reference page)
min. 6 sources – two of which must be scholarly books/journals
At least one in-text citation (Links to an external site.) per paragraph. All sources listed on reference page must be cited in the paper.
Acceptable file formats are Word, Open Office or RTF (Rich Text Format)
Files should be named lastname_policypaper
