The American Lung Association (ALA) provides a rich resource of education, advocacy and research for improving lung health and preventing lung disease. Besides their well-known campaigns to get people to stop smoking, they have several other initiatives as well.
Choose one of the ALA initiatives and describe the history of the initiative, the purpose, and details of what the initiative does to improve the health of participants. Discuss the importance of the initiative as it relates to lung health. You may also provide reviews of any media coverage about the initiatives (please provide links so the instructor and your classmates can view the media as well). If there is a quiz, take the quiz and discuss the results. Note- you will likely need to look at sites other than just the ALA site for a well-written discussion post.
