There are two parts to this week’s discussion:
Discuss: Discuss your research methods for your research proposal. Is it primary or secondary? Will you need IRB approval? How will you collect data? Be as specific as possible. Write it like you will submit for your final research proposal.
Journal Club: Identify a peer-reviewed primary research article that uses the same study design that you will employ in your research. The topic may be your choice but should be relevant to public health. The topic does not need to be the same as your topic – it is more important that the methods are similar. What data was collected and how? Discuss population, variables, etc.
