Evaluation Essay
What to Evaluate
The study will evaluate electric motor vehicles, which is an innovation by Tesla Inc. The first electric motor vehicle was manufactured by Tesla company in the year 2003 (Jenov et al., p. 365). When it produced electric vehicles, the main objective of the Tesla Company was to accelerate the transition of the world to sustainable energy. According to engineers who generated ideas of developing an electric vehicle, electric vehicles contribute an excellent percentage to the global development sustainable goals.
Category of what to Evaluate
An electric motor vehicle can be categorized as a product in the automotive industry which is currently selling. There is high competition in the company which sells the electric vehicle. For instance, the Tesla company, the market leader in the production of an electric vehicle, faces Volkswagen, Ford, Nissan, and other companies. There are various models of electric vehicle which are currently selling in the market such as Model 3. These electric vehicles are highly priced and purchased mainly by high-status people.
Important Criteria
The electric vehicle is an attractive innovation because it is more fun, quicker and better to drive than gasoline engine cars (Vynakov et al., p. 10). Gasoline cars can be less attractive because of the nature of air pollution. Tesla, the leading producer of electric vehicles, believes that the increase rate of adoption of electric vehicles globally, the faster the world is moving towards zero-emission. Unlike gasoline cars which produce harmful gases to the environment, there is no combustion of fuel to produce Carbon IV oxide in an electric vehicle. The electric vehicle utilizes renewables sources of energy. There are solar stations where these electric vehicles are charged.
