Genocide

Genocide is the systematic elimination of a group of people by any means that decreased the number in the group significantly (approximately by one million or more). Methods of extermination include but are not limited to mass shootings, chemical warfare, bacterial warfare, kidnapping of children from their homes, and sterilization processes. Dehumanizing of the group is necessary to get public support and participation before the genocide. Chancellor Williams (1987) posits that Aristotle excluded the African from the human group as being without reason, therefore, it was necessary to conquer and enslave the African (p. 141). One means of exclusion from humans is to discredit the victim(s) religion and label the group as infidels, and pagans. Using the concept of God and what God wants is a tool for justifying mass murder and conquering for exploitation. Divide and conquer tactics are effective tools and are used repeatedly to cause confusion and disorient the intended victims. Divide and conquer creates a situation where some victims support the perpetrator and others become marginalized to the point of political helplessness. When divide and conquer is in full effect the perpetrator is in its most powerful position to begin the physical elimination of the group. Any kind of perceived threat to the dominant culture whether real or imagined has in some cases been the deciding factor.
