Hosting fundraising events that engages stakeholders such as, employees, clients, vendors, local government and community partners, that would allow people to become involved and aware of the organizations work within the community, its mission and vision and future events, e.g Holiday themed events such as fall festivals, New Year’s gala, have also proven to be good ways to obtain funding for non-profit organizations (Entrepreneur, 2014).
Sponsorships is another means for obtaining funds for the organization. Sponsorships allow partners to receive funds and in-kind donations. Companies and organizations may sponsor the organization as a general partnership or in conjunction with a campaign or event. In recognition, the organization will thank the sponsor publicly and displaying the sponsor’s logo. Example, charity runs/walks will have sponsors banners and logos on display (Gauss, n.d.).
Engaging the organizations board is another strategy to be implemented. Boards are a great resource for fundraising. Each board members bring different experiences that can help define specific ways each board member can help with fundraising (Eisenstein, A. (2019). Examples, inviting donors, contribute through donations, fill a table at gala events, contact local media and write an article for the newsletter or annual blogs (Lau, n.d.)
