Once you have decided on a topic, find a science-based research article that supports (or disproves) your belief. The information that supports your topic should come from an accredited source that was published within the last three years, to ensure the information is current. Watch this video to get an idea of what a credible source is. Examples of some good for peer-reviewed research sources include Pubmed and Google Scholar. Articles from governing fitness bodies such as ACE, CSEP, NSCA, ISSA or ACSM can also be good resources. Magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Men’s Health, Women’s Health, or Bodybuilding magazines are NOT reputable sources, they are opinion pieces and are not reviewed for credibility or accuracy. However, you can check those opinion-based articles to see if they have science-based, peer-reviewed sources that you could reference.
Once an article has been found, summarize the article then describe in detail how the evidence in the article supports (or disproves) your beliefs. Be detailed and use facts from the article to either support or disprove your original thoughts.
