Option 2: Chapter 6 (The Legal/Political Environment of Global Business)
For this topic, you will be asked to discuss one of these government regulations or laws as implemented in a country of your choice. Examples include Contract Law, Tax law, Antitrust law, Product Safety law, Dispute Settlement law, Intellectual Property Protection law etc. Check out pages 153-160 of eText. Select a relevant peer-reviewed article (published in the last 5 years) that discusses at least one relevant law from the list above:
Part 1: (a) Provide a summary paragraph of the selected peer-reviewed article. (b) Explain what are the objectives of the government in introducing the law in the country you selected. The summary should provide readers with sufficient information about the law as well key or interesting findings using your own words. Note that the article should not be an internet article or an opinion piece. It should be from one of the library databases(e.g. ABI/INFORM) to be considered a credible source
Part 2. Identify and discuss at least 2 key lessons that you learned from reading this selected article. These should relate to the challenges of implementing or complying with the specific requirements of the law in a global business environment.

Responses to the discussion questions and commentaries on postings by at least 2 other students are due by 11.59 pm, Saturday.
You will be assessed in 3 areas (1) Quality of Initial posting to questions posted (50%) (2) Commentaries on 2 other student’s postings (30%) and (3) Academic support and proper APA referencing (20%).
Your initial response to the discussion question(s) should demonstrate your reading of the eText and application of key concepts discussed
You should fully address each part of the questions in separate paragraphs.
You should have at least 2 sources in your Reference list. One could be the eText and another source to show additional reading. Failure to properly cite sources will result in a grade of zero. Your Reference list should be in proper APA format.
