Environmental concerns have been increasing a lot during the last few decades which encouraged scientists to analyze the route cause analysis. Lifecyle assessment is a methodology that can be utilized to measure the impact of a certain product to the environment. in order to evaluate a product impact to the environment, LCA is utilized to identify products inputs, outputs and energy used during its lifetime. One of the most debatable topics in this regard is the different type of carrier bags which are used in the supermarkets. In this report, the focus will be on the carrier bags which are available in UAE only. There are different types of carrier bags however, this report will focus in two types of carrier bags which are HDPE plastic bags and paper bags.
