News article/ Approved peer reviewed article 2) write outline

1) You must complete the selection of the news/journal articles (and oral questions) before you complete the next activity-writing outline. Please note that the writing outline and peer review form has a tentative (subject to change) due date.
2) Your news article must have a cited study (journal) in the news article. You cannot select an outside journal article.
3) Please note-the journal article must be in full text; do not pay for any article; if the journal article says systematic review, observational study and meta-analyses it is not acceptable.
4) How to read a scientific journal article-review the parts of a journal handout. The article must have the traditional sections associated with a research study (abstract, introduction (literature review), methods, results, discussion, references). That means no reviews of literature or other types of articles.
-Review the psychological research module located in the Course Content section to understand the difference between a experimental and correlational design.
-Understand the terminology-what are the measures (collecting data-survey, questionnaires, etc.); what research design was conducted-descriptive/correlational research or experimental; what is the correlational research purpose-showing relationships,experimental-showing cause and effect
