Reflect on one specific organizational change implemented in your organization (A Japanese bank located in New York, the major change includes working from home pattern, need to change the structure of the loan, and interest rate risk change due to the Fed adjusted the interest rate, etc…due to the pandemic) in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. It could be a change that was in process prior to the crisis but expanded or was implemented more rapidly as a result of the crisis, or it could be a change in direct response to the crisis. The change may be organization-wide or more focused. It could be strategic, technological, and/or involve revised practices, processes or structures.
A. Briefly describe the change and its objectives. Evaluate the possible risks associated with the change.
B. Drawing upon the conceptual material covered in our class as well as related classes in this module, analyze the vision, leadership, implementation and reactions to the change, highlighting:
a. What risks were managed effectively, why and how?
b. What risks were managed less effectively? What should have been done differently?
c. What should be done going forward, as the pandemic evolves, to adapt the change and ensure that your organization is more effective in managing the risks of change moving forward.
