Pioneers of the Social work profession: Some of the most well-known include Jane Addams, Ellen Gates Starr, Frances Perkins, Harry Hopkins, Florence Hollis, Helen Harris Perlman, Bertha Capen Reynolds, Mary Richmond, Whitney Young (civil rights worker and social worker), W.E.B. DuBois, Etta Wheeler, and Lilian Wald. Elaborate about the life of the person and how her/his life experiences may have influenced their interest in the social work profession. Elaborate about what the pioneer did to further the cause of the profession. How did this person’s work demonstrate the values of the profession? Include in your “research paper” the individual’s most outstanding accomplishments as well. Also, include your own perspective for selecting this individual. Utilize a combination of books, refereed journals, and credible websites for your research. Utilize a minimum of 4 sources.
