Publisher, Publication, Author brand study

Choose a publisher, imprint, publication, bookseller, or author with an online presence and write about a feature of their branding (such as, but not limited to, their positioning in the market, the types of media they engage with, their use of symbols or language). What do they stand for? How do they communicate this to readers and the general market? Critically analyse the selected branding feature and argue a conclusion, i.e. go beyond description and interpret something about the brand.

Do:
Include images and specific examples to illustrate your point.
Do narrow down your feature.
Do look back over the readings.
Include references to secondary literature to help make your point, if necessary.
Evaluate how successful the author is and why.

Don’t
List elements of the webpage or social media presence generally.
Make broad generalisations without using examples or secondary materials.
Just describe what you see.

Should I include in-text citations? Not all the examples do…
You should use at least two critical sources to help contextualise your observations or support your points. This is one of the differences from the examples
