Directions:
Your response will be graded on your ability to give a clear and well-thought-out response to the above question. Your ability to gain full credit will be based on your ability to answer all of the questions in a succinct and thorough manner. Make sure to use complete sentences. Your response should be no more than 250 words.
You are encouraged to use relevant sources to support your response. The use of your textbook is a minimal expectation. The use of 2 additional sources such as peer-reviewed journals is also EXPECTED. All references (including your textbook) should be cited using APA style.
Reply to at least one classmate’s posts. Your response to your classmate’s discussion should be around 50 words (each) and add to the discussion (i.e. reflecting on their response, asking questions, etc.).
Messages posted after the deadlines will not receive credit.
Criteria: To receive full participation points, your postings should meet the following criteria:
Avoid postings that are very limited in the scope of the comments to ‘I agree’ or simply ‘great idea’, etc. If you agree (or disagree) with a posting then say why you agree by supporting your statement with concepts from the readings or by bringing in a related example or experience.
Address the questions as much as possible with the appropriate content (don’t let the discussion stray).
When appropriate, try to use quotes from the readings that support your postings. Include proper APA in-text citation guidelines when doing so. Citations should be used to support the research included in a response. Citations should be formatted in APA style.
Respond to at least one other students post. Build on other’s responses to create threads.
Feel free to bring in related prior knowledge (work experience, prior coursework, readings, etc.)
Use proper netiquette (proper language, typing, etc.). Do not use all caps and IM language. Please use proper grammar. Points will be deducted for inappropriate language and poor grammar.

Services exist to help these new immigrants, but they are not being accessed.
