RE: Week 9 Discussion

I wanted to apply for a promotion in our company. I was already an assistant manager, so the natural progression would be the general manager or operations manager. My barrier was that I had a negative mindset. I was so worried about what others were capable of doing, that I did not take the time to acknowledge that I had valuable skills as well for the job. I kept thinking my barriers to the job were my other co-workers and their skill set. In reality, the only barriers were me, and my mindset at the time. I learned from that, and now I try no matter what the circumstances are.
