In these posts, I would like for you to explore current events as they relate to the topics in anatomy and physiology that we study. Find a scholarly/scientific article that relates to A&P and interests you. What type of things should your post? Here’s a few ideas:
Ebola Virus is huge in the news right now. You could create a discussion post about Ebola and the body systems it effects.
You could look up a topic on Ted Talks such as the technology that might one day enable doctors to 3D print organs!!!!
Scientists just discovered the disease process that leads to ALS. You could post about this discovery and how it might one day lead to a cure.
Your post shouldn’t be long. Two paragraphs is about right for length. Make sure your reference the site(s) that you get your idea from. The rubric is as follows:
Find and choose a scientific article that covers a topic that is:
Personally interesting to you.
Relevant to the subject in the current Chapter/Chapters being studied – 10 points
Write a two paragraph commentary about the article:
Your post should include a title and your name – 10 points
Your post should be of adequate length (1-2 paragraphs) – 10 points
Your post should be of good quality –20 points
Include your own insight or personal knowledge with the topic – 10 points
Use correct spelling, grammar and punctuation – 10 points
At the end of your post be sure to include a reference for the source of your post.
