This question is meant to be a more formal, in-depth exploration of one of our discussion topics. As I suggested, many students first encounter The Canterbury Tales in high school. We read it in my 11th grade English class, in fact. Based on the parts of the Tales you read for this class, is this appropriate for high school students? If so, what age? (Is there a significant difference between 9th and 12th graders when it comes to this question, to your way of thinking?) Or is this REALLY a text that needs to wait for college? You may use your own memories of high school reading to help you formulate your answer. And I certainly want you to quote not only from the text but also from the discussion board, agreeing, disagreeing, and exploring in more depth your classmates’ statements.
