Please watch the FIRST HALF of the documentary Manufacturing Consent (Achbar and Wintonick, 1992). This film is based on the landmark book by Noam Chomsky and Edward Herman and centers on Chomsky’s critiques of the American news media.
It is a long film, originally split into two parts, and I am only asking you to watch the first half, though feel free to watch the whole thing, as it is very well done. It doesn’t always show the time code, so just stop when you reach the title card for “On The Spot,” which is approximately halfway through.
