This research aims primarily at understanding the relationship between motivation, institutional factors and student engagement at Maastricht School of Management in Kuwait. Studying engagement can be of enormous help because it is an effective means of measuring the breach between expected learning outcomes and actual learning outcomes. There has been an observable decline at MSM in the student’s engagement particularly in the research field during the sessions 2016-2019 as stated by one of the senior administrative employees at the university. This clearly goes against the universities mission, vision, and institutional policies. The undertaken research aims to:
– Understand the relationship between student needs of competence, belonging, and autonomy in relation to student engagement
– Explore the relationship between faculty performance and student engagement
– Investigate the influence of curriculum design at MSM in relation to student engagement
– Explore the relationship between student’s level of experience with motivation, institutional factors and student engagement.
