Make the draft at least 2 pages long. Your final version of Essay 1 should be 4 pages, plus a Works Cited page.

If you want feedback from your classmates, please include a copy of your Draft with W6 WC, by Wednesday, 3/2.

Notes on giving feedback to classmates:
Offer helpful suggestions. Don’t be afraid to point out something that your classmate may have done wrong – this will help them make corrections and get a better grade.
Here are some things to look for:
Is the Header correct?
Is the Heading correct? (Including correct form of date and spelling professor’s name correctly)
Is there a good title, and is it formatted correctly?
Is the spacing correct? (Double spacing all the way through.)
Is the Font correct? (12 Point Times New Roman)
Does Essay have good Thesis Statement?
Does Introductory paragraph talk generally about the theme?
Does Introductory paragraph avoid talking about your source material?
Are there many quotations and paraphrasing that is used effectively as evidence to support the thesis?
Are there correct In-Text Citations for quotes?
Are quotes put in context using a Quote Sandwich?
Is evidence clearly linked to Thesis?
Does the essay read well?
Does it make sense to you?
Does it make a good effort to prove its point?
Are there parts that are confusing or difficult to understand?
