You must research a topic related to psychological disorders and prepare a PowerPoint presentation. Your presentation should be 10 minutes in length. Your presentation must not be a simple reading of your document but rather a summary of the main points.
In order to maximize your learning experience, you can use the text book assigned to this course, The World of Psychology 8th Canadian Edition, but you must also consult at least two additional reputable resources (whether print or Internet) and include them in your bibliography.
Do not cut and paste into the power point – get creative.
The assignment will be graded as follows.
60% of the mark will be awarded for content of your project. This includes exactness of the information, pertinence of the content and amount of information (specifically if your assignment does not contain what is deemed to be sufficient information).
30% of the mark will be awarded for the presentation. Elements considered include the clarity of presentation, duration, ability to keep audience’s attention, correctness of information, ability to summarize information as opposed to reading the content verbatim.
10% will be awarded for the documentation itself. Professional appearance, neatness, logic and organization of poster, and bibliography will be assessed.
