What is most interesting to me in this film is the way that Daniel and Eli’s ambitions in the settlement of Little Boston play out and have ramifications for everyone else in the town.

SO, this film is among the best made this century so far, it is truly remarkable in so many ways. The basic plot follows the rise of a prospector to an oil magnate in the early 20th Century in the Southwest and California. What is most interesting to me in this film is the way that Daniel and Eli’s ambitions in the settlement of Little Boston play out and have ramifications for everyone else in the town.
