Overview:
In class, we have discussed various topics on family, marriage, and relationships. For this assignment, you will complete a literature review assignment by critically drawing on a topic of your choice on family, marriage, and relationships. In this assignment, you will identify the topic you will focus on, engage with the empirical research on your topic by highlighting major findings and critiquing prior research, address the gap in research, and present ideas for future research. This assignment provides you experience to conceptualize and assess a topic of your choice through a family/marriage lens. There are several benefits: you will disseminate researching findings, enhance your knowledge on the recent scholarship on family and marriages and reflect on reflexibility in the research process.

Instructions:
You will develop a literature review by engaging with the recent scholarship on a topic of your choice on family, marriage, and relationships. You are required to run your topic with the instructor. The assignment should be in the following format: narrative format, 6-8 pages not including references, 12-point font, times new roman, double spaced, and include your name. Late assignments will result in points deducted. For each day your assignment is late, the score will be deducted 10%, so please make sure to submit assignments in a timely manner. You are expected to complete all of the components below in the order to get full credit on the assignment.
