This paper or Power Point is an in-depth analysis of a movie or TV show. You cannot use one that we have already discussed in class. You will need at least 8 references. Here are some questions to consider (this does not mean that you should answer all of these questions, they are just to give you ideas and starting points): How is this character depicted? What models of disability are portrayed? Whose perspective is shown? What is the role of the person with the disability in the larger scheme of the film or show? How does this character relate to non-disabled characters? How do non-disabled characters relate to him/her? Does the actor actually have a disability? Is this a recurring character or do they only appear in a “very special episode?” Analyze some reviews of the film (or TV show, if you can). What are the perspectives from mainstream movie reviewers? From the disability press? For larger or more well known texts, personal blogs, Twitter, etc are another way to understand the response from disabled people. Papers should be 7-8 pages and Power Points should have at least 15 slides (title slide and reference slides do not count!)
