Focus: You can focus on any one, two, or three of the African American poets covered this semester in relation to Japanese tradition. In addition, if you like, you can discover and include African American haiku poets not covered in class. It’s OK to include examples from your Editing Project, but be sure to edit and improve what you say about them. This paper should be fresh writing.

Credible websites may also be cited, but be sure to access a minimum of one source from XU’s Library Search. If you like, you can also cite any of the assigned articles that we read for class. Go beyond class sources: find other scholarly sources that we didn’t read for class.
