Compare Confucianism, Daoism, and Legalism. Which is the most “moral” system? Which is the most practical? Which set of ideals is the best for running a government or an empire? Why?
Remember that your 300 to 500-word essay needs to contain a thesis, incorporate direct quotes/paraphrase evidence from the primary sources (not the secondary source material in Wiesner-Hanks textbook or in the introductory paragraph of text written about the primary source in the Reilly reader), and provide a detailed analysis.
As for citations, you only need to include a simple in-text citation with the last name of the editor of the primary source reader and the page number in parenthesis at the end of the sentence, like so (Reilly 111). Do not consult outside sources–only the assigned primary sources in the book required for this course.
